Fun to drive car

by Aie from Seattle, WA (7/07/08)
Pros:ease of driving, powerful V6, rearview camera, electronics and console
Cons:noticeable shifting @ 40 mph,

bought ours in November 2007. mileage is as expected of an SUV, but have been getting an average of 18 mph after 2750 mi checkup and oil change (driving 40% city, 60% highway)... just a little noticeable shifting at 40mph, seems like the transmission is undecided between 3rd and 4th gears. but other than that, this is fun to drive.

Had to go back to Toyota

by First and Last Nissan from Atlanta,GA (6/29/08)
Pros:Good looks, back up camera
Cons:Road noise, tight second and very tight 3rd row seat, transmission

Bought mine LE V6 4X2 in October 070and I traded it in December 07. I had the chance to drive a friend's 05 on a 400 mile trip and I really liked it. Once I got mine I found out that it was not useful for my everyday life. I have a grandbaby and once you put her carseat in only one adult can fit comfortably in the back with her. The 3rd row seat is not usable for any adult. My daughter had a tight fit and she only weighs 104lbs.! My transmission clunked right at 40 mile an hour. I took it in and was told that that was normal and if there were something wrong that it would be covered by the warranty. Well that was not a good answer for me since I have friends with Pathfinders and none of their clunk at 40 miles per hour!. So I traded it in on a Sequoia which was much larger and only gets 1 mpg less than the 17mpg I was averaging with the Pathfinder.

WHAT A DEAL!!!!

by Kristi from Columbus,Mississippi (6/23/08)
Pros:Roomy, Rides good, Affordable, Looks Good
Cons:Gas milage of course!!

My husband and I bought this vehicle for our growing family. We have one child right now and anohter one on the way. With two car seats and the baggage that come with two kids, you need all the space you can get. This vehicle really has it. Its not too big and its not too small. We looked at several other SUV'S and by far we got the better deal with this one. The V6 is great!! I dont feel like the vehicle is gonna get away from me as I would if I had the V8 and I dont feel like I am driving a bus!! We will defiantly keep this vehicle until the kids are out of the car seats and in booster seats. The ride is also a plus. Handles great on the road. The suspension is just right. Not bumpy at all. Just glides on the road. The third row seating is a blessing also. Easy to get in and out. Just a pull of a handle and there you go. EASY!!!! I would defiantly buy this vehicle again.

Great family vehicle

by Joseph from San Antonio, Texas (6/12/08)
Pros:Plenty of room inside, Easy access to 3rd row, Lots of cargo room
Cons:Ride some what rough, Premium fuel recommended, Bad gas milage

Just bought the Pathfinder before our second child was born and I will have to say that it is a pretty good deal. There is plenty of room for your average guy. I find it very easy to get in and out of with no trouble and there is plenty of leg and head room inside. My only qualm with the truck is the gas milage. I have an 05 Toyota Tacoma with the same size engine, 4.0 liter V6 and I average a good 5-6 mpg better than the Pathfinder and that is on Regular unleaded fuel. The Pathfinder is a great family car and looks great all cleaned up. If you are considering purchasing I would definitely make sure you are ready for the gas costs before buying.

Perfect sized SUV.

by Ray from El Paso, TX. (5/31/08)
Pros:Comfortable seats, handling, power.
Cons:Doors a little too narrow. Exiting can be a chore. Interior noise is a little loud. Gas mileage.

Purchased it new and grew to love it. It handles well, has great power for a 6 cyl. and it has a very spacious interior. This is a perfect sized SUV. Not too large and bulky like the Sequoia, and not too small like the X-Terra or Pilot. Overall, very pleased.

Most Capable SUV in it's class

by Bill Greenwood from Sandwich, MA (5/06/08)
Pros:Styling, Room, Off & On road handling, towing capacity, economy
Cons:None

I've owned my Nissan for the better part of year and love it. I see people on the site complaining about the gas mileage, but it really depends more on how you drive, than the vehicle. I average from 21 to 24 on the highway (much less around town). This vehicle has been very comfortable on long trips, holds a ton, and is the most capable SUV in it's class off road. The Pathfinder also has way better towing capcity compared with the Toyota 6 cylinder. My dealership is fatastic. I go to Nissan of Bourne on Cape Cod. They are the best. They gave me a great price, and have wonderful service.

Piece of Garbage

by disgusted owner (4/22/08)
Pros:Nothing this is a terrible vehicle
Cons:Nissan should be ashmed of this vehicle, time to end the model line

Seats to small no legroom in the front seats, reslae value is extremely poor, terrible blindspots, tail gate is to low. No comparison at all to what they advertise against it loses hands down.

Should have been better

by W. Robinson from Houston, TX (4/22/08)
Pros:power, GPS, sound system,
Cons:fuel economy, back seat legroom. noise

Overall I was not impressed with this vehicle. There is still no legroom for adults in any but the front seats. Power? It's there but you would expect the top of the line to be quieter as well. Handling was better than my 2005 but not by that much. Gas Mileage!!!! I would have thought that by now Nissan would have at least come out with a hybrid vehicle. Also service seems to have dropped of because they don't seem to have parts for the 2008's. If I had it to do over again I would have looked elsewhere. They also still have those fragile cupholders in the storage console for the rear seats. One kick from an active kid and it's useless. The saving grace was the GPS and the DVD and audio system. If I could do it all over again I don't think I would have stayed with Nissan on this one.
