Good subcompact car for the money.

by David from Las Vegas, NV (10/05/08)
Pros:Nice styling, very roomy interior.
Cons:Cup holders placed wrong, armrest is useless, mirrors remote now well placed.

I have only had the Versa for a couple of days, but so far overall this is great little car. Actally more comfortable than my wife's Toyota Matrix.

Quite peppy and quiet, the CVT transmission is a bit different (have to get used to it) but is really smooth. This is going to be primarily a commuter car with an occassional out of town trip thrown in so I hope the gas mileage proves to be what has been advertised for it.

Good value for the money so far.

Very classy car

by Karen from Hendersonville NC (9/26/08)
Pros:Great fuel economy, comfterble, classy ride, very versitile, excellent deal
Cons:NA

This has been a enjoyable replacement for my 89 Mustang of several years. The gas mileage is great, its a comfortable ride, and is very classy in its appearance and still performs very well. I give it 5 stars all around and thank Nissan for a great addition to the Nissan family.

I LOVE My Versa Hatchback!

by Amy Powers from Worcester, MA (9/07/08)
Pros:Spacious and good looking
Cons:Difficult handling in large puddles; "modern" transimission

I just love my Versa! Looks great in Saphire. Going to work everyday never felt so good. Went on a trip to Ohio through the PA mountains and this car handled like a dream. Excellent highway milage!

It does ride low to the ground so you have to be careful driving through large puddles. If going too fast it feels like control could be lost quite easily. I never noticed this in my Cavalier.

It has a new type of transmission that the salesman kept talking up. It takes some getting used to (zippy) but it's fantastic on the highway! I drove about 90 miles before the gas gage moved off of full.

My 5 yr. old g-daughter can stand behind the driver's seat with out her head hitting the car roof. So roomy and comfortable!

I LOVE my Versa!

Super Mini Max

by Shutter Bug from Deland, Fl. (8/22/08)
Pros:Very comfortable, quiet and pretty good on fuel.
Cons:No hideaway back seats, no auto up-down pass. side window control.

I traded a gas guzzling, high powered, '02 Maxima for my '07 Versa SL. This little car put the fun back into driving. I put good tires on the car and what a difference. Quiet; as if all the roads were newly paved. I have been up in the Pocono Mts through Scranton, Pa. and the Versa is very comfy and plenty of power for the Mountains.
Great visibility and good headlights (better than the Maxima).
For $16,500 this car is super. I drove them all. Aveo, Fit, Rio5,
Mazda 3, Yaris, the Versa is much better than all of the above

Great in-town car

by missbusanbeth from Charlottesville, VA (8/17/08)
Pros:Interior space, visibility, smooth ride
Cons:Brakes, cheapish interior components

I just purchased this car after having driven a 2006 Mustang for the past 3 years, and I couldn't be happier. To state the obvious, the Versa isn't going to win any drag races, but for a subcompact car I find the acceleration pretty darn good. Inside feels slightly cheapish, but it's an economy car, so what else could be expected? On the plus side, the ride is very, very smooth. I've taken this car all around central Virginia and have had no complaints about shakiness or road noise. Also, they somehow made the interior feel huge. My boyfriend is 6 feet tall, and he fits in the passenger seat just find. Complaints about the interior component quality aside, I love the overall styling of the car. It's not a jellybean on wheels like a lot of other subcompacts and compacts. I haven't had it long enough to comment on gas mileage, but it seems to be doing great so far.

Fun car

by kay from tennessee (8/10/08)
Pros:Lots of room inside. I am tall, but there is great leg room front and back.
Cons:It takes some getting used to the new type of transmission...but good zippy power

My only complaint about this car is that the gas mileage is not much better than my old Camry! I have been getting about 26 mpg and was told it would get close to 30-35. Not sure what is going on here.
