I like the new Dodge Dart I would buy that.

As long as it replaced a proven car in Dodge's line up I would buy it. But i'm not keen on buying a completely new, revised vehicle. I'd wait until the bugs were worked out in year 2 or 3.

I own a 69 GTS Dodge Dart and for me this new one looks good, not like the original but It´s Ok, I don' t know why a lot of people says It´s crap or Toyota is better, things like that. I know everybody has his own likes and I respect that, but hey I am tired of read this kind of commentaries against American Cars, If you want fuel economy, it´s a kind of car, if you want speed (not fuel economy) buy a Viper that´s all, I´m the owner of other Cars like a 68 Dodge Charger, Aston Martin (not from USA I know It) Chevy Volt between others, and all of them are great, diferent cars difernt styles, American Cars Rocks !

      Toyota sucks!!

I owned my first and LAST Toyota. A 2003 Matrix with an input shaft bearing failure on a 5 speed manual at 72,000 miles. I got no service from Toyota and a search online found that all the 03's with a 5 speed were failing the same way.

I had a 85 Chevy Citation that I never really liked with 270,000 miles (it had more than 100,000 when I bought it). It was still going strong when I sold it...

Nice looking car, and one of the FIRST MOPAR products I'd consider buying. No, it's not a V-8, but with gas costing $4+ a gallon, I'll be satisfied with something that's got some snap, as long as it's not a gas hog!

I had a '64 Dodge Dart GT with a slant-six and a push-button automatic transmission. It could out run some 8 cylinder cars!
    • Wayford 3 months ago
My ' 64 was a column shift. It was the larger slant-six and ran like Hell chasing a dead man....

Times are changin, the economy is in the toilet and gas is 3.50 a gallon. Kids growin up today think driftin and huge stereos are cool. Hurst Olds, SS454, Hemi 'Cuda, Super Bird, AMX, Gran National, Torino Cobra Jet, Firebird H/D & S/O, with a bottle who needed a turbo back in the day. Muscle is gone to bad for todays young gas freaks.

You forgot the Z/28 Camaro and the 427 Corvette both of which I owned
    • james 3 months ago
All of which are wonderful cars. Back in the day we made horsepower with cubic inches and good internal parts for just a few thousand dollars. Today kids spend upwards of $40,000 for a car with less horsepower. I bought a '78 Buick Regal and went to the junkyard and bought a small block 400. All together with about $2500 it was pushing well over 400HP without a bottle, or turbo. I miss the muscle cars of yesteryear.

A stock car today will put any stock car from yester year in it's place. All of those cars are great but you got to have progress and turbo charger is a lot more efficient than a huge clunky motor that weighs a ton.
  • The Yazz Man  •  3 months ago
The Big V8's of yester year are going by the wayside guys. Hate to break it to you. With gas probably hovering around $6 a gallon by mid-July your Hemi's and your Turbo AWD gas guzzlers are gonna hit you hard in the pocket book. The trend is to squeeze as much power out of smaller engines as possible and Dodge is giving it a shot. This is a direct injection 4 banger squeezing 210 HP at a low RPM without the use of Turbo's or Superchargers. Not like your Toyota's and Honda's that have to see 6000RPM to reach their horsepower and torque peaks. American Muscle Cars are going to have to adapt or be left behind. Now I agree that this isn't the best looking car.. And yes, they should have called it a Neon but, whatever, besides the point. The point is, is that they are going in the right direction by keeping Horse Power up and gas mileage high.

I owned several darts, but they didn't last. Burned valvles, terribly noisy starters, wind noise, and water leaks.

never in my life would i have ever considered a dodge. but now fiat owns dodge. and this car is a clone of the alfa romeo giulietta. since i have been driving alfas for 20 years, i'd buy one of these - GREAT cars. the giulietta is much nicer looking, but the dart isn't half-bad... i'd buy a fiat cinquecento, too...

The Dart was a very reliable car....I drove one on many occasions....

Dart?! Pfft really? lol...All I see here is Fiat bringing back and updating the Neon with new sheet metal and a Dart emblem. Somehow the ugliness in this pic reminds me of the LeCar of the early 80's. I hope Dodge/Fiat aren't heading down that AMC/Renualt road.

My 1994 dodge intrepid 3.3L with 107,000 miles is still running. I need a GOOD reason to trade it in and get in debt again! lol

Here is another vintage "muscle car" that Dodge brings back but they make it a four door too??? The Charger nor the Dart were never four door cars cant understand why now?. Another thing for certian NEITHER one have the muscle that they used to either.... I am so glad that they never ruined the Challenger..... This one they did get right....
