    1. Fuel cell vehicles have been overshadowed by electric cars and hybrids as of late, but that hasn't stopped Toyota exploring hydrogen-powered vehicles, as seen with its FCV-R concept. Planned for launch in 2015, the concept vehicle touts a 700 km (435 mile) range. The fuel cells are placed underneath the body, allowing for the FCV-R to seat four passengers.
