I bought the V6 silver Pontiac Firebird in 1997 after many brief test drives. At the time this was the only rear drive GM car besides the corvette and i thought it would be a fun to drive car, but it wasn't and the quality is horrible even compared to other GM cars back then. The interior has big gaps in the plastic and the steering is unusually stiff and the shifter, I had the 5 speed Manuel is sloppy and has long throws. Handling is weird, it feels heavy which it is but you really feel it, and the back end slips out way to easily. Its just not confidence inspiring or fun to drive. Handling is not neutral like it should be. Honestly I should have bought a BMW M3. The Firebird and its mechanical twin the comaro are GMs worst sports cars and i would advice people stear clear of them....read morehide
