Not like everyone else....

by Dawn S from Delaware, Indiana (9/29/08)
Pros:remote lock & trunck release, GPS, fuel economy
Cons:wind noise at the sunroof

My '08 G5 GT is beautiful. I drive 50 miles a day round trip and it is a great ride. I upgraded the spoiler and get many compliments on the looks. We are in process of upgrading some other components of the car to give it more horsepower. I am still completely in love with it and so glad we chose it over the Chevy Cobalt that everyone seems to have.

Worth every penny I spent!

by bj from Sterling Heights, MI (9/09/08)
Pros:Great fuel economy, alot of trunk space for a small car
Cons:not alot of pick-up, not alot of back seat for small people

I've got a 5-speed stick, and get way better fuel economy than they advertised - my combined average is around 33 mpg, and I squeezed 38+ out of it on my last trip up north babying it around 65.

It won't win the Indy, but I wanted an inexpensive car with good mileage, and I'm extremely satisfied with what I got.

With a GM discount and dealer incentives, it was only around $13k for my 2008, off the lot, and it's got enough extras to make it a nice car. Even my kids think it's sporty and nice, and at 20-21, they're not easy to please.

I LOVE MY G5!!!!

by Ashley Rae from Lincoln, NE (9/05/08)
Pros:Great on gas, Looks great, Just my size, Never had to fix anything........
Cons:Not any that I can think of.

I LOVE my G5. I bought it brand new in 2007 and have yet to have a problem. Its great with the fuel prices, and I save alot. Its even great for road trips. All my friends want to take my car when we go out, well because of gas prices, and it fits us perfect. Its extremely fun to drive. I use to have a 1998 Pontiac Firebird and I am completely satisfied with the G5, and its preformance. If you want a greta price, good on gas and cute car, this would your best bet!!!!

Buy american, your job depends on it.

by Dan Smith from Oakdale ca. (8/02/08)

I being 6'2" and 245 pds don't know what people are wining about. For the last 20 years i have driven a full size truck. Now transfering over to a 2008 G5 find it quite comfy. The carbon fiber looking dash, red and white gauges look very sporty. The car has plenty of power with the 2.2. I commute 37 miles each way to work daily getting thirty miles to the gallon. To top it off, it is a american car!

Brake rotors are junk

by Ron Minor from Belle Vernon, Pa 15012 (7/22/08)
Pros:good looks and fun to drive
Cons:front brake rotors needed replaced after 25k miles, not covered under warranty

I put on 25k miles a year I can't be replacing the rotors every year

It is a shame they would put cheap brake components on this otherwise nice car

I am buying a Honda Civic to replace my wife's Sunfire instead of another G5

gas mileage makes me smile1

by linda wagoner from st. clairsvlle ohio (7/12/08)
Pros:26-33
Cons:none to report

everyone loves the look and ride. had a suv would never go back to the gas hog again, the high prices are here to stay, so we might as well find a car we can enjoy and afford. i bought two new vehicles the new g5 and a new colbolt. my payment for the two is less than my suv and the gas mileage is more than doubled almost tripled.

2008 Pontiac G5 Gt

by Shane from York, PA 17408 (6/10/08)
Pros:Exterior design, Sterio system, 17' rims, seat comfort, handling. brakes
Cons:lack of fast acceleration, interior peices cheaply made, lack of interior compartments

The acceleration was alot slower then I accepted. The interior has few space to store items. Peices in interior seem to be very cheap. The car overall though is a great car and i would recomend it to anyone. Mine was only 22K and for that i got the gt model with low profile tires sport suspension 17' rims and the 2.4L engine. mp3 cd player is a huge plus and also the 10' subwoofer in the trunk is a nive ad on. Pontiac, good job with this car.
