- Excellent Power, Refinement, Great Sports Car Feel, Tone of the Engine
- It's a bit hard to find a comfortable seating postion for larger people.
This car is simply amazing. It's the perfect blend of handling, power, and braking. I have a perma-grin on my face everytime I get into this car and don't ever want to get out. It's a summer-time dream.
I have tons of pros for this car as the car is nearly perfect.
My only complaint about this car is that I wish that it had a little bit more room for the driver. i'm 6'2" and after the seat gets moved I have a hard time finding a comfortable spot again. Once I find it, Permagrin again.
I've also found that other cars around me are consistently driving more aggresivly than normal. Not necessarily a fault of the car, but something that bothers me when driving it. Why does everyone feel that they have to push their civic or eclipse (or even a Jetta) just because there is a Porsche in front or beside them.
OVERALL...simply an amazing car. No regrets....read morehide

- good fuel economy for a high performance car
- not much to say
I finally find a car to drive. This is more like me.
Its very fast and cool. Looks good and and a silver
beauty. It's a work of a genius. Yahoo for the
craftsmanship of Stuttgard, and the idea of Professor
Ferdinand O. Porche and his son... God bless them.

- you will not find a better handling car for this money
- none to speak of
This is the first Porsche I have owned. My ohter cars have been Jags, and I still have one , and love it too, but they are very different animals.
The Porsche loves to get thrown in curves, and is a fun filled adventure even across town. Does not hurt that you get stares where ever you go either.
Dealer was also very good... Like they say Porsche ...no substitute...read morehide

- FAST. SUPER FANTASTIC APPEARANCE.
- Just a little noise. but it's sports car.
New Boxster S is amazing. My neighbor, John has new mercedez SLK350. And I bought New Boxster S last month. After he drove my car, he don't like his SLK350. He said he is going to trade his SLK to New Porsche. and he is very serious about it. SLK looks good, but when it's right next to Boxster, SLK look kind of cheap. And that SLK makes Boxster look more shiny. Also, John said boxster's handling is better than slk. so I drove his SLK, and it was pretty fast, but of course i like my boxster S so much more. When John trades his slk to Boxster, we will drive our car to town to show off. haha. I have dark silver color, and he is considering to get black color. Yea, so when you're going to buy $60,000 sports car, buy New Boxster S. Boxster base is around $50,000. Boxster base is also great. Only difference was speed. Before you purchase your sports car, test drive Boxster, SLK, Z4, or Corvette. Some people likes Corvette more than Boxster cuz it's faster. But I go for luxury and european style car. That's your choice. After test drive, you will see the differences between New Boxster and other cars....read morehide

- Looked really nice
- Cost way to much and was way to expensive
it was a really good car but it was not a family car and that is what my wife and i really are looking for right now-it also is not really such a safe car because it is so small and i want my kids to always be safe in a car.

- Looks cool, fast, powerful, handling
- Expensive to maintain
The interior is reasonable, nothing out of sorts for a modern vehicle. Porsche will make you put line items in for little doodads you might not expect. E.g. variable wind-shield wiper speed. The fit and finish overall is excellent. What plastic bits there are have a nice texture to them. However this isn't a luxury vehicle.
The ride can only be experienced. Well, I'll take a shot: Do you remember ever driving a go-kart? How when you turned the wheel the kart just went that way? That's how this car drives. Everything feels "linear" in the sense that you get no suprises and things feel "right". This is by nature a more "hard" riding car. But on the highway it feels pliant enough to not shake your fillings out on a long trip. I had an SUV from Mazda that I refused to drive long distances in... but this car is either so fun that I don't notice, or has better overall feel on the highway.
The power of the 2005 Boxster S is great. The car seems to change character on you at about 4.5 to 5K RPM. It goes from subtle to freaky fast very quickly at that point.
The brakes are astoundingly good "feeling". You can brake hard and still get a lot of information... It is hard to describe, but I can only say they seem "linear". Not grabby or pulsy.
Sure there are faster/quicker cars on the market... but the total package here is beautiful, fast, and furious if you want it to be.
I would have no problems recommending this vehicle to a family member!...read morehide

- Fine elegant quality, solid acceleration, mint performance, stop on a dime.
- we tend to drive them only on weekends.
The Boxster S is possibly the most precisly engeneered luxury sports care in its price range. Possibly a bit too much car for us average drivers, but then what average driver needs the of road capability of a high end suv?, yet we own them. If you are looking for the best in sport 2 seaters, this is the way to go. A true gem in this category....read morehide

- Handling, fit and finish, ergonomics, usable power, transmission
This is the perfect drivers car. The driver position is perfect. The cockpit is perfectly laid out to accomplish the business of pushing this car to it's limits. Porsche understands what few other car companies do. There is a huge gap between an idea being well-done and being perfect. This car is often compared to an S2000. Well, that is a great example of what I am talking about. The S2000 is a wonderful car that is a lot of fun to drive. The Boxster S is an extension of the drivers brain translated to the road. I traded in a C5 Corvette on a new Boxster S. The C5 was a brute and could be more fun in certain circumstances like straight Interstate on-ramps when it was dry. However, in a large majority of driving situations, the Boxster is a much more accomplished, polished and fun car. Many people don't understand why you would pay more for less horsepower. Like I said before, there is a big difference between being a really good car and being a great car. This is a great car....read morehide
