Hey All Y'all Cayenne Owners..

Porsche think they're slick..They made the car in a way when have maintenance the car you cant bring it to a regular Joe Shmo mechanics..You will have to bring the car to a Porsche Dealer that charges you a arm and a leg..But there is alot of ways you can go around that..Look Online !!! see what kind of part you need..Find a specailize Porsche Mechanic..you will save your half your car bills...Make you can get High Performance parts for your vehicle so It does the best performance on the street might cost a little more but its worth it..especially the suspension..Remember there is always a few ways to skin to Katt.......read morehide

- Fun to drive when it's not in the shop...
- To many problems to list...
The CAYENNE "S" is the worst car I have ever owned... Everytime I take it for a repair there is always a recall list to do from porsche... To be fair. the Dealer has been good about loaner cars. I noticed they aren't porsche and the loaner never seems to break down... The only thing about the Dealer, was that I question. HOW THEY CAN SELL THE CAYENNE WITH A STRAIGHT FACE... I asked the dealer after one year of ownership and 6 trips for repairs How much for a trade-in... Now mind you the car had only a few Thousand miles, not one scratch or ding (Perfect) Their words. Do to the soft SUV market we can give you $38,000. I said great do to the soft SUV market can you take the 20,000. You want me to lose off the top of a new one... Ive owned this car for a couple of years bought it new and the only reason for this late review is that I had to have towed yesterday, so I'm blowing off steam... I should have written the review the first day when the first warning light came on and It took them a week fix it.. (NEVER AGAIN)...read morehide

- It is a good looker
- Rides rough and the brake accelerator conflict is dangerous
I have an on going front end problem. Between 60mph and 80mph, it vibrates the steering wheel and makes one sick. Porsche is unable to fix it. It seems to be in the drive shaft from the transfer case to the front end. I have replaced the tires twice in 30,000 miles, as it seems to grind them down real fast.
If I apply the brake and gas at the same time, the vehicle stalls and is extremely dangerous. My lady friend refuses to drive it because she feels we will get into a serious accident. Porsche refuses to address this problem. I drove a 2006 and they have modified the problem. It also affects the performance when trying to do the turns in the hills.
I cant believe Porsche made a car that stalls when you hit the brake and the gas at the same time. A racecar drive holds the gas to the floor and controls the vehicle with the brake.
How many times have you tried to get out of a tight situation and feather the gas and brake at the same time? Keep your Cayenne out of parking lots or shopping malls. You will slam it into the wall or another car when the accelerator catches after applying the brake. In the snow you wish to creep in traffic feathering the gas and brake at the same time. No way! All four busts loose and you loose traction real fast.
As Porsche suggested, I use one foot now. I slide my foot off the brake and apply the gas. It now pops through the injection system and sometime stalls as if I had my foot on the brake. The computer is unable to keep up.
If I park the vehicle for a week in the garage, then start it and try to back up, she will not move until I reeve the engine. Then it slides into gear and moves with what seems like pain.
I have a friend that has a 2004 and it is a real dog. He has had it in over eighteen times. I met a lady with a 2003 and Porsches give her new tires every 10,000 miles.
I have never had a car with so many problems....read morehide

- Performance and that solid feeling
Test drove the base Cayenne 3.2 and followed up by test driving the X5 3.0 within the next 30 minutes. Followed the same course, pushed both of them upto 90 mph.
The base Cayenne beats X5 hands down in terms of performance. Rock-solid, road hugging feel. Base engine quite peppy (I currently drive an Acura MDX). In contrast, the X5 started swaying above 85 mph - did not inspire confidence.
This week-end I will test drive the Cayenne S - can't wait...read morehide

- Look great, Performance,
- A little more power wouild be great
I purchased the Cayenne V6 about a month ago, and I am really enjoying my drive to and from work for a change. It is does not have the same brute power like the Cayenne S, but it does move quickly and you have gottta love the sound of the Porsche engine!
The steeting and road holding is great. I have never been beenhing the wheel of and SUV that was this much fun to drive and be seen in.
The only drawbacks are the lack of sn "On Star" type system, and limited audio options.
Other than that, for $50K there is nothing better....read morehide

- Super Fast, Handles like a Sports Car, Looks
- So Far, None...
This vehicle is essentially a jacked up 4 door 911 Carerra 4. I recently traded my Mercedes CL55 AMG for a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. While I initially thought I would be compromising on performance, I quickly learned I was wrong. For all you skeptics, all I can say, is go for a test drive.... You will certainly become a convert; I did.
This thing handles better throuh turns and general manuevering than my Mercedes CL55. After doing some additional research on the Cayenne Turbo and comparing it to the CL55, I learned that it went through the 600 ft. Slalom at 66 MPH, compared to the Benz at 64. INCREDIBLE. It goes from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and from 60-0 in 112 feet. Only 2 feet more than the Porsche limited edition X50 Turbo.
If you are looking for a 4 door high performance vehicle, I highly recommend this car. What else would you expect from a Porsche!!!!!...read morehide
