Push it. Dive into a guick sweeping slalom or switchback and have no fear- it won't roll, lean, or make the tires squeal (if you didn't cheap out on them). Anybody who puts down this car has never driven one, and is going by some know-nothing person I push my 2006 base Cayenne to the limit, and have 32K on it and the brake light just went on. Yes, it eats tires, but so does every vehicle of equal weight- I got 20k out of my A4 & Cayenne. I once had an emergency stop so as not to be part of a pil-eup happening in front of me, and my Cayenne stopped so fast the 2 cars behind me which were 2 car lengths behind and apart, yet they passed right by me o the shoulder because they couldn't even begin to stop as fast as my Cayenne. My next door neighbor couldn't get up his steep driveway in the snow, so to break his chops, I backed down his driveway, so I was next to him, and drove right up his driveway without even beginning to slip! - maintenance cost, fuel cost, brakes sound
GPS is really useful, although it does not comes standard for the base model; brakes cost me $2700 this time; i have a base model only (v6), but it still costs me $100 to top up the tank each time; the standard sound system is AWFUL, even worse than a Toyota echo; brakes squeeze since i first got the car and the car dealer claims it's normal since the brakes are designed for racing cars??? well, i dunno but it's very embarrassing when your car squeeze like a truck or a bus whenever u stop...read morehide

- Not too good fuel economy.
The 6 cylinder engine does not have the power to run the Cayenne base model. If you are at a stop and need to accelerate to make a fast turn because other cars are approaching or need to change lanes fast and you press the accelerator the car literally stalls on you. IT IS TRULLY A DANGEROUS SITUATION.
Be prepared to pay $300 for an oil change at the Porsche dealer.
Count on having to replace the front brake pads at about every 20,000 miles. My dealer has told me that Porsche has instructed all delaers that if the front brake pads need to be replaced then the rotors must be replaced also regardless if they are in good condition or do not need to be replaced. Then of course the suggestion is made that if you do not replace the rear brake pads the rotors eventually may be damaged and would have to be replaced regardless if the rear brake pads are in good condition and do not need to be replaced.
In summary replacing the brake pads in my Cayenne cost me $2,000 including taxes.
The seats are kind of narrow and not confortable at all. If I drive for over an hour I start to feel back pain.
Headroom is also inadequate if you are over 6 feet in height. Raising the seat just a little bit puts your eyes almost level with the top of the windshield glass....read morehide

- headroom-legroom-large cargo area-road handling
- fuel economy-tranny hesitation-folding down rear seats a big headache
from the windshield wipers to the door locking system, very complicated. I have to continuly refer to owners manual . Interior lights go on, go off, stay on, buzzers sounding etc., because the drive leaned on an armrest button..very complicated interior cabin. I still haven't figured out the windsheild wipers....read morehide

- Beautifully designed and built. Handles on any road surface in any weather including snow.
- Poor warranty.
I knew that I was purchasing the best when I purchased my Cayenne. Handling is superior, fit and finish are excellent. The dealer that provides service does't seem up to the task. Beware if you encounter a warranty problem Porsche is quick to hide behind imaginary provisions in their warranty that allow them to avoid repairing problem items. I'll buy Japanese next time....read morehide

- Fuel good, Engine fair, very simple interior
- The car is rough, but the handling is good
I just got my car from the Agent in Leabnon, actually I was disappointed, I was expecting much more from a Porche.
I did a terrible mistake I didnt test drive the car before purchasing it.
The car is very rough and super bumpy, you can feel every bump on the roads which we have a lot in Beirut and in lebanon, the gears on the automatic transmition is very near , the car is always nervous, which makes me nervous too, it is quite smooth on the freeway but it is not that good inside the city.
All over it was a disapointment, even though it cost a lot in Lebanon, the standard trim cost me $79000 before registration and insurance which is a lot if you compared to other SUVS in the market....read morehide
