2008 Porsche Cayenne
There are 12 user reviews for the Turbo trim shown below
- performance is unbelievable, ergonomics almost perfect, design and build quality great
- fuel economy is terrible and difficult to justify in these "green" times
There is no justification for this vehicle...except that its the coolest ride on earth. A truly superior vehicle on the road; lightening fast, stable, glued to the road, safe. The creature comforts are understated but perfectly delivered. I have a Carrera and a Mercedes CL600 and the Cayenne Turbo is my favorite to drive...'nuf said!...read morehide

- Very confidence inspiring under all conditions. Interior is well done; power is stunning
- Fuel economy--but expected such.
I really look forward to driving the Turbo. Beautiful interior and all controls are at hand. Nothing is too fancy, a practical and well executed interior which does not pretend to being an English-gentlemens smoking club like the competition. Handling is superb with the optional PDCC, powered torsion bars--the world IS flat around all corners. Allows for choosing the comfort setting on suspension but getting the benefit of tight handling when needed. Power, power, power is the thing making the Turbo feel very alive. For me the fact that the Turbo is an SUV is irrelevant, I didn't find another car that had this wonderful combination....read morehide

- HORRIBLE FUEL ECONOMY. I get about 13 miles a gallon in traffic, and 20 on the highway.
- Brakes sound like a really old car even though the car is brand new.
I would say this car looks nice but value wise it is not worth the money. I really regret getting this car. I would suggest anyone to get a X5 or another luxury SUV.

- 500 hp, 0-60 in 4.8 sec, fierce styling, sweet ride, luxurious cabin, 7.7 ton towing capacity
- Won't look good on your wallet, repeated visists to the pump
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo keeps the record as the fastest SUV on the palnet. Not other SUV has 500 hp (except the Mercedes ML63 AMG), a 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds, a nice n' slick handling, and a luxurious cabin. And still the Cayenne Turbo can tow up to 7.7 tons!
But if you are going to purchase a Cayenne Turbo, you have to give up about over $90,000 and numerous visists to the gas station. If you can handle that, this SUV is a must-have!...read morehide

- Unbelievable, great speed, much better than the BMW. Handles like a 911
- Some small rattles in dash
This is my second Cayenne. 2003 S and then got the Turbo. Just love it. The coolest SUV. Handles great and the horsepower just gets you where you want to go. You really feel the turbo after 50 mph.

- PDCC, Driving experience, performance, comfort, quality, style
- Price, comsumption in city.
I received my new Cayenne Turbo last september and I just can say that it's a real Porsche. This is my third porsche, and its amazing the driving experience you can enjoy behind the wheel.
It's powerful, comfortable, turns like a Porsche, looks great, very high level of quality and its just the best ever SUV launched till the moment. The price is very high but you are paying for a unique SUV. The comsumption will depend on your right foot, you can get 14 l/ 100kms if you drive soft with a steady speed of 150Kms/H, or on the other it can rise till 18-20L/100 kms if you drive more agressively or in the city.
Cayenne turbo do not like the city.....it feels like a shark closed in an Oceanarium....read morehide

Behind The Wheel: Although they're large and heavy, the S and Turbo belie their weight with quick acceleration and respectable handling.

well, isn't it a meaningless car?4wd with this high level over the ground , 0 - 60 m in about 5.1 seconds,reach around 167 , twin turbos.
does it really make any sense? yes it does ,alas, not on the american roads,no offense, US roads are more perfect and steady than this car needs, the Cayenne is a suitable car for narrow roads with difficult chances to pass the others , where there is sort of "damage" dust, rocks in front of you , now you feel you can use both the extremely fast acceleration with the forerunner 4wd abilities....read morehide
