- Great handling, Looks gorgeous, fun to drive
- one thing - not enough HP!
I love this car... my first Porsche, and im not dissapointed... I have a few "S" extras on mine, so it looks a little better than the standard base model. I've never driven a car that handles so well, and the pick up is great (esp. since i got the stick).. i guess I wish it had a little more HP, especially now that they've come out with the new Boxter S that is more similar to the Cayman....read morehide

- Broom! Broom! sounds and drives like a true sports car
- The key stinks, where is the hood latch?? I still haven't seen my engine!@?
My black 07 caymen seems to have more power then my previous 911 model, love the sound of this engine. turning cornors, accelerating, braking, it's a true sports car. interior is alittle out dated, seat must recline more. overall, who cares about a little discomfort interior when your driving a NASCAR......read morehide

- handling, performance, styling, etc. etc. etc.
- cupholders, but get the job done
this is an update from my last review. after owning the cayman for about five months now, I am still very satisfied. this was the first porsche I owned. The car is essentially maintenance free--oil changes/service every 20,000 miles!!! I find that ridiculous for a sports car. Now if any of you can afford, let's say a 911 turbo or GT3 (more comparable to exotic sports cars), you know that 20,000 services are absolutely unheard of (ferrari service every 3,000 miles....$1,000+). As for problems, I have had none...only driving too fast and dominating the road. Porsche claims about 22/32 MPG, but if you drive it hard (which you all will) you will average about 20 MPG. I have tried cruise control on the freeway (70 mph) and gotten 38-40 mpg...ridiculous! It's the aerodynamics. Every time i stop to pump gas, people stop to talk to me, and most think it looks better than the 911.
The power is plenty...i've yet to experience a situation where I was disappointed...if you know how to drive it, you can keep up with very high end cars like ferraris and such. If you can afford $8-10,000 more for a cayman S, go for it...i disagree with this though, because if you get one fully loaded, as i did, a cayman S would come out to ~$70,000, then you wonder why not get the 911.
I would say the cayman is for the younger folk, where the 911 is for the more established....read morehide

- Sleek looks, amazing performance, absolutely Porsche
- Models equipped with tiptronic automatic are hard to come by.
This is my first Porsche ever. I've owned several sports cars and generally trade every 2-3 years or so...I can honestly say this is the best. So far, there are only two things in my life that haven't dissappointed me....Hawaii..and Porsche. Its everything they say it is....and more.
These cars are designed for the sports car enthusiast...if you're looking for a soft quiet ride and lots of creature comforts, you're looking in the wrong place....also, if you absolutely need to have an automatic be prepared to pull out your wallet or make serious compromises on colors/options. They just don't make enough of them....read morehide

- amazing handling, quick acceleration, styling is second to none, jet sounding engine
The car is glued to the ground...can handle sharp turns at unbelievable speeds. One test drive did it for me...I didn't consider any other car. I got the leather sport seats--a must (holds you in place). Get the bose surround sound stereo...it's amazing. Get xenon--see better and be seen. Also 18" cayman S wheels.
An amazing car at the price of a stupid bmw 335i coupe. Don't waste your money...step up....read morehide

- What an automobile
This is the first porshe I,ve owned. Had it one week and cannot believe the overall experience. I've had many sports cars, but this is the most awesome. It is absolutely flat on the twistys, has great power throughout the powerband and it a real head turner. Much more sexy beast than the 911. Can there be a driving be a better experience, I have a constant smile on my face and hardly turn on the radio, the engine produces a constant symphony....read morehide

- gorgeous lines, great handling, major headturner
- rough ride(spill coffee constantly), cupholders are useless, loud ride
I have owned the Cayman for about 2 months now. I owned the Boxter for the last 5 years. The Cayman is night and day better than the boxter both in looks (exterior and interior) and in performance. I like the looks better than the 911, and have had several others state the same thing. only negative is that the ride is very rough and bouncy. also, the car seems loud. Overall, though, I love it!...read morehide
