- Fuel econ, Smooth lines, not one on every corner, HNDLING HNDLING HNDLING
- People stare as if to ask, "what planet is that from? Almost looks like a Porsche!"
Cornering ballance, Engine, transmition, brakes and suspention. These were the strengths I sought.
I was not dissappointed.
I also got: looks, clutch, comfort (hight=6.0, wt=170) and low insurance.
Low horsepower? (but silky smooth) Sure. But until the speed limit is raised above 160MPH you won't need more (or care). Cayman can handle 40MPH as well as 130. You don't steer this car, you simply look where you want to go. "Telepathic!"
A twisty 40 MPH at 3000-6000 RPM is a kick. Manual a must.
Slalom times better than the (dare I say...) CARR---? Please, someone call 911!
The future of this comapny and the Cayman engine layout (near 50/50) could solve the problem of the shrinking performance gap between the Corvette and the 911 flagsip(gasp). And relax, the vette still gags in the looks department cuz it's not truely race based.
Is this the first non 911 in history to cause such a stir? Perhaps. Do I still want a C4S? You bet, but the ching ain't worth the bling.
