| Pros: | Driving experience, handling, acceleration, comfortable interior |
| Cons: | Smaller cargo space than my old Land Rover |
LOVE IT!!! This is by far the most fun car I have driven. As others have said - if you want a lot of luxury or high tech gadgets this is not the SUV for you. But if you're into performance and the total driving experience, what a ride. The sportshift really gives you extra pop, even the base model has plenty of juice. Terrific handling. It feels like a sportscar rather than an SUV. Personally, I like that the interior is more "old school" than high tech - less distractions from the joy of driving of Porsche.

| Pros: | Great performance, what a fun-to-drive SUV !! |
| Cons: | Ride is quite rough...bad sound prove |
I enjoy quit a lot when driving in SPORTs mode..it's more like a sport car than a LSUV. If you want to enjoy this car, you have to drive fast.....this is the only way to enjoy a Cayenne....otherwise, I doubt you will like the rough ride and the the stiff rear seats or weak sound prove....if you're xpecting a comfortable car, pls .... keep looking...

| Pros: | performance is unbelievable, ergonomics almost perfect, design and build quality great |
| Cons: | fuel economy is terrible and difficult to justify in these "green" times |
There is no justification for this vehicle...except that its the coolest ride on earth. A truly superior vehicle on the road; lightening fast, stable, glued to the road, safe. The creature comforts are understated but perfectly delivered. I have a Carrera and a Mercedes CL600 and the Cayenne Turbo is my favorite to drive...'nuf said!

| Pros: | Power, Handling, Ride Dynamics, Porsche Name |
| Cons: | Pricey Options, No Bluetooth, Poor MPG, Rattles/Squeaks |
Let's be honest....if you're looking for something plush, sleek, or practical, you're looking at the wrong vehicle. With Porsche, it's all about performance. Great power and handling (S model). Acceleration is superb esp. in "sport" mode. Despite its hefty weight, handles better than a lot of so-called "sports sedans." Finally living up to the "Porsche" name. Options are ridiculously long and expensive, however. For the price, the model needs more standard features like Bluetooth, Navigation system, and hard-drive stereo. Porsche is still a few years behind the Japanese when it comes to fancy electronics. The interior also looks a little "dated" and not up to par with Lexus or Audi. My '08 is only a few months old and I am little concerned with all the rattles and squeaks that have popped up. All-in-all, however, the '08 Cayenne delivers a great ride and if you are looking for something more luxurious or practical...keep looking.

| Pros: | Very confidence inspiring under all conditions. Interior is well done; power is stunning |
| Cons: | Fuel economy--but expected such. |
I really look forward to driving the Turbo. Beautiful interior and all controls are at hand. Nothing is too fancy, a practical and well executed interior which does not pretend to being an English-gentlemens smoking club like the competition. Handling is superb with the optional PDCC, powered torsion bars--the world IS flat around all corners. Allows for choosing the comfort setting on suspension but getting the benefit of tight handling when needed. Power, power, power is the thing making the Turbo feel very alive. For me the fact that the Turbo is an SUV is irrelevant, I didn't find another car that had this wonderful combination.

| Pros: | Excellent ride, Quality interior, available 6 speed manual, easy to use Nav system |
| Cons: | Rattling sounds, Front seats could be better |
It's funny the guy who complains about 13mpg in traffic. What did he expect? Get a Highlander Hybrid if you want better mileage. I average 15 MPG and I'm happy with that given the very good performance of this car. I was surprised I could get 21mpg on the highway in Sport mode. This is my family car so transporting 4 people plus a dog in comfort and averaging 15mpg is satisfactory for an SUV.
I checked every SUV out there. I bought this one because it looks great and has a 6 speed manual transmission on the base model. I happen to enjoy driving a manual and this is the only high end SUV out there that offers you one. The 290 HP is enough for me and the excellent shifter makes it feel like a sports car. I've driven a Cayman and the shifts are very similar. The Nav system is easy to use and I liked that it doesn't have any dumb I-Drive feature like BMW. The Porsche interior is tastefully done and well styled.
Another reason I bought this car was bang for the buck. I paid about 49k. A similarly equipped BMW would cost about 56k and the engine has 30 less HP. 49k is surely a lot of money but you do get a lot of truck for that money.
On the negative side, the seats could be more comfortable in the front. I can't find any good position for 2 hour plus drives. It would be nice if you could actually rest your head on the head rest but it's too far back. Same goes for the new X5 although the old X5 had great seats and headrests. I wonder why they can't get this right. That being said the seats are fine for anything less than a 2 hour drive.
Another negative is the clutch on the 6 speed. It's been rattling when shifting at slow speeds on the first 3 gears. I'm taking it into the dealer to see if they can fix this. Looks like it just need tightening. The final negative is the lack of an Ipod adapter or Bluetooth feature for phones. The dealer can install something but the cost is way too much.
