2007 Saab 9-5 Sedan User Reviews
- Nice Interior, Rear Seat Room, Classic Saab Exterior
- Loud Ride, Poor Handling, Expensive
We test drove a Cadillac CTS, BMW 525i, Audi A6, Lexus GS300, Saab 9-5, and a Mercedes E350, but in the end we chose the BMW outright. It had by far the nicest appearance, comfort, performance, and value. None of which this Saab has except for exterior appearance. We had a Saab previously and liked it a lot, so we gave this car a go and it was just terrible. For what you pay, you are getting a poorly built, loud, slow, poor handling, vehicle that costs way too much. Now, the BMW cost about $50,000 with nearly everything and the dealer wanted $45,000 for this!? Anyways, stay away from Saab's......read morehide

- Large Trunk. Extremely comfortable. Great options for the price. Handles great in snow.
- It won't wash itself.
My family of four is able to fit four pairs of skis, our bags, and our pug into the car and drive 4-5 hours for a skiing trip without a ski rack. It handles great in the snow and at high speeds (I am in the Army living in Europe-I have an US SPEC 9.5 Aero). I looked at buying the BMW X5, but this car has more than enough room, and it is significantly less than the X5. Our family is thankful that we went with the SAAB sedan over the BMW SUV. I also own a BMW 325i (2002) and the ride is significantly smoother in SAAB....read morehide

- Excellent fuel economy (getting 21c/32h), awesome power, seat heaters and coolers, huge trunk.
- fold-away cup holder too small (will only hold a can of cola -not a bottle)
This car brings pure driving pleasure; the interior surrounds the driver. I have a 9-5 AERO which has a lower tuned chassis, but the feel of the road is awesome. I am a tall man, and the visibility for me in this car is much better than that of the Audi, Mercedes, or BMW cars. I checked the latter three a few years ago when I got my first SAAB 9-5.
This car lacks that stupid vertically-curved windshield and roof combination that so many cars have today; therefore, tall people do not feel like the top of the windshield is right in their faces. Yes, tall people can actually see clearly out of this car in all directions.
Get the optional vented leather seats as they come with seat HEATERS and COOLERS. I live in the deep south, and the seat coolers are a blessing....read morehide

- The best in all ways
- A little bit noisy, but is normal for a turbo one
I drove until now over 1.100.000 km. I drove Mercedes, Renault, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Opel, Kia, Hyundai, VW, Toyota, Volvo, Fiat, Seat, Skoda, Peugeot, Citroen, BMW and many more. All what I can say about SAAB 9-5 model 2007: is the best car I ever drove.
When I checked this car I saw force, safety, speed and... a lot of care from the people who made it.
THANK YOU, SAAB!...read morehide

- Peppy engine, good fuel economy, great sound system
- Cup holder is too small
I love driving this car. Had a Lexus and went with Saab after some issues. This car is very quick and at 80 mph feels like you're going 40. Fantastic sound system and standard mp/3 jack. The trunk is very big.
