2007 Saab 9-5 Sedan User Reviews
- No trim specified for this review
- Styling; interior is nice and they replaced the dashboard computer.
- Horrible leg cramps when stuck in traffic due to a lack of leg room.
I opted to go with another car after the end of my lease for my second SAAB. There were just too many problems and the car is snug for a 6'5" person. The 9-3 is even smaller. I was happy to see that they now have improved the HP from 210 to 260. A few months ago, I pulled up into a gas station alongside another SAAB owner. We talked a few minutes about our cars. She told me about all the problems that she had had with her 9-5. I told her that I had my turbo replaced ($2000), the door handles replaced(recall), the dashboard computer replaced. I get all types of random messages and beeps every time I start the car. The messages stay on the screen until you touch a button. Just a little annoying. I now have about a week left on my lease and the car, with only 45K miles, makes a rattling noise when I shut the engine off, the dashboard computer is illegible due to some faulty electronics, my front passenger door speaker is blown even though it's a Harmon Kardon. The new SAAB's use Bose audio system. I believe so hopefully you won't blow the speakers. I still have wierd message on the dashboard computer. For the money, I expected more.
I will miss the great service I received from Sewell. They know how to treat customers and it shows each and every time. I just wish I didn't need to get my car fixed for stupid things that should have been corrected before production.
I may lease a SAAB sometime in the future, but I will never buy.
