2007 Saab 9-7X User Reviews
- $9,762 - $10,263
- No trim specified for this review
- Great design, lots of power/pick-up, handles like a sports car, very comfortable, easy NAV system.
- Fuel economy, one material defect.
I have been driving my 5.3i for eight months and love it. The fact that almost all of the accessories available are standard on the 5.3i made it very easy to order/buy. There are a lot of Saabs in my area but have so far only run into one other 9-7X on the road. If you drive this car you'll find people checking your vehicle out both on the road and in the parking lot and will get used to people asking you, "Saab makes an SUV?" Bottomline, you will stand out from the rest of the SUV crowd.
The only major negative aspect I have experienced so far is the fuel economy. I'm averaging around 12 mpg around town and haven't gotten more than 14-15 mpg on the highway. I don't know if this is true only for the V-8 trim, but if you're in an area with higher gas prices and have a limited budget, I would not recommend this vehicle.
One other minor gripe is that the rubber seal/packing that attaches the center part of the tailgate housing the license plate to the larger tailgate is not quite solid but very sticky and messy like tar or tree sap. Evidently this has been found on a number of similar GM-made vehicles and although there hasn't been a recall, your local Saab dealearship will replace the part free of charge.
