- Dealership, lots of power, good gas mileage, Onstar, all around great SUV
- nothing significant
Have only had for 1500 miles and 1 month, but so far very happy. The V6 is almost too powerful for the size of vehicle. Perhaps the AWD would help that, but if you drive sensibly, its not a real problem.
The leather trimmed interior is great. My only minor complaints would be that the center console could be bigger, the passenger window control location is hard to get at when the car is in drive, and the fake wood trim doesn't fit the style of the rest of the interior. Again none are serious issues.
No complaints with the exterior. Everything looks good, haven't noticed glaring fit & finish problems some have mentioned. The only thing I noticed was the VUE lettering on the rear hatch was slightly crooked by have to really look to see it.
Overall a great small SUV. I have driven the CR-V and the Escape and I like this better than both of them. I would recommend it to anyone looking at this type of vehicle....read morehide

- with 800 miles......no cons yet
JUST GOT A V6 REDLINE VUE, TRADED IN MY BIG 4X4 F150 FORD GAS HOG. BIG CHANGE, BUT I LOVE IT. FEELS LIKE A SPORTS CAR THAT GETS GREAT MPG. SATURN DEALER WAS VERY FRIENDLY W/ NO PRESURE.
SO STOKED ON IT!

- very good fuel economy, excellent fit and finish, very comfortable, very roomy, and rides great
- cup holder/center console could be better designed, turning radius could be tighter
I'm writing this review because I found this web site to be very helpful when I was trying to decide what new car to buy. I looked at the Subaru Forester, Toyata Rav 4, and Mazda Tribute in detail, glanced at the Ford offerings. I'm sure that the Saturn is the most car you can get for the money compared to these cars. My previous, and only, car was a Ford Bronco II (bought new in 1989, had it for 17 years). Compared to my new Saturn, I was a fool for keeping it so long. I bought the Vue April 14, 2006, so I won't be able to speak to the reliability of the car, but I'll be sharing my views on everything else!
I have the FWD V6 (28 mpg hwy/22 city) with 250 h.p., and none of the aforementioned cars even come close to the power and performance while still delivering pretty good gas mileage. I'm currently averaging 22 mpg, and if I could keep my foot from contacting the floor during acceleration, I'm sure I'd be doing better. But, the rush of that 250 HP is hard to go without, so there you have it. The owners manual states that in the beginning, the car will probably not get the advertized mpg, but that as the engine wears in, it will improve. I expect this to be the case.
The paint on the car is nearly perfect. After purchase, I brought the car home and gave it a very thorough "inspection". I went over every inch of the car that I could get to. I found NO defects. Frankly, I was amazed. Having said that, I personally wouldn't mind if the front and rear quarter panels were attached to the car differently (perhaps a little more sturdily), but overall, I was very thoroughly impressed with the outer and inner finish of the car. I Love the wheels.
The Vue has a back seat that is split 60/40. I've personally never been a huge fan of this, I just don't see the point. I guess a 60/40 split is pretty much the norm these days though, so I don't fault the Saturn for it. I prefer cloth seats to leather, but having said that, I love my leather trimmed cloth seats (standard by the way). The comfort and easy maint. of cloth, with the "luxury" of leather... I love it! The leather wrapped steering wheel is a bit of luxury I appreciate as well. In fact, it seems to me that wherever possible, Saturn has gone the extra mile to give their car owners as much luxury and as many "high end" accessories as they can possibly get for the least amount of money.
I'm also very impressed with Saturn as a company. No haggling, great value in the cars (at least the Vue), and, to date, outstanding customer service. I'm Very happy I bought a Vue, and based on my experiences so far, I expect to buy nothing but Saturns from now on....read morehide

- High rather than long but still room to haul quite a bit. Very good maneuverability.
- A bit bumpy (typical for Saturn). OK, small cup holders...
This is my second Saturn and I couldn't be more pleased. I love my new Laser Blue VUE and am smiling just thinking about it. Kathy and Ron at Saturn of Oak Lawn are the greatest salespeople but everyone else was terrific as well. Great to see they haven't lost their customer service. I'm full-sized but there's plenty of room and I love using the passenger arm rest when I'm alone!...read morehide

- Lots of vehicle for the price, excellent handling, nice re-design, roomy
- arm rests...would rather have center storage to rest arm on
Good grief...I am in love. I test this vehicle for two weekends, once around Atlanta and once to Chattanooga and back. It rides so incredibly well and handles better than most cars I've driven. The sound system is very nice, interior design is excellent (except for those arm rests, which are moveable so no biggie), and that little extra that would normally cost an arm and a leg to install...AUX input for my iPod. Fantastic vehicle, great great price, dealership is great as always. And yes, I plan to buy the vehicle...this Saturday. It will be my third Saturn. It's good to be back!...read morehide

- comfortable, roomy, zippy, pretty good MPG. LOVE THE EXTRAS
- blind spot rear driver side
I love the "get up and go" of this SUV. I feel comfortable in my new VUE. I don't feel crowded at all. I like the storage in the back. There is a blind spot on the driver's side but my husband says it's because I'm short. After all the shopping and review reading I did I know I got the best SUV for my money....read morehide

- Great looking, reasonably priced, great handling, roomy, decent gas milage(for an SUV).
- Needs bigger cup holders, power plug in cargo area- not just by seats.
First off, I love Saturns as this is my 3rd new one. My first a 94 SW1, second an 02 SC2, and now this 06 VUE just purchased 3 months ago. I've never had any problems with any of them, just standard maintanance.
This VUE has great looks, power, handling, and room. I always liked the looks of the VUE, but the new styling for 06 really sets it off! Gas milage started off lower than sticker, but the more I've driven it, the better it's gotten!
Onstar with built in phone is great, and I absolutely love the XM radio! I haven't listened to local stations while driving since buying this....read morehide

- Powerful V6; Onstar, Not very expensive but looks it
This is my 2nd vehicle and my 2nd Saturn. The sales and service staff are always customer friendly and makes you proud to own a Saturn. I traded my great "college car" Ion in for a "he's finally made it" VUE. I have a black VUE FWD V6 with chrome package and it catches a lot of attention. The Onstar is a great feature and standard on all VUE models, hands-free phone, XM Radio, MP3 capicitiy, and just too many features to list. One notable feature that really bought out the VUE is the powerful 250-hp Honda supplied V6. It gets you into traffic with confidence while still maintaining respectable fuel for a V6. If gas is your concern spring for the 4-cylinder or better yet wait til fall 2006 when the hybrid VUE Green Line is available which produces more power than the standard 4-cylinder. You can't go wrong with the VUE. You're not going to find another SUV with all these features of a $30K- $40K SUV under $25,000 like the VUE. If you do let me know. Saturn definetly has a VUE for everyone to check out....read morehide

- Sporty Style, smooth ride, awesome seats, handles mountain inclines well.
- Gas mileage could be better.
I have a 2004 Vue and love it!! Couldn't believe the extras for the price! Handles more like a car than an SUV. Drove it across country, Florida to Nevada and back, with my daughter who has an arthritic back. Couldn't believe we drove 10-12 hours a day with no back or leg aches! This engineer got something real right!! Acceleration is great and never feels sluggish when climbing steep inclines. Front wheel drive does well in a few inches of snow. Don't know about deeper snow yet! Plastic exterior is great for the jerks who don't care about banging their car door against yours! The VUE's doors don't ding!! It's just a great all around vehicle!...read morehide
