- Pros
- FAST at high RPM, driftable, 6-speed, RWD, full traction control OFF, wonderful handling, etc
- Cons
- Sound is too whiny, (needs boxer rumble!) not enough power, no storage space.

This car is so incredible, so fun, and so customize-able, it feels like an extension of yourself to drive. It feels like a motorcycle to drive, with the power at the top of the RPM range, with the benefits of a car to have, like a roof, for one. Honestly the only thing lacking is what you haven't bought for it yet (exhaust, rims, more power, etc.) it is an outstanding car in every way....read morehide

- Pros
- Perfect Handling, Good acceleration, great fuel economy. pure pleasure of rear wheel drive
- Cons
- once my first gear got stock while moving and made a some bad noise with some jerking motion

Its an excellent car, for the price. It has 4 modes, sport, vsc sport, snow and traction off, i used them, the acceleration and gear change , changes drastically. Amazing driving experience. driving on a curvy road is pure pleasure, no matter at what speed u r turning. I like the way it accelerates if used properly, glides through the gear . Sometimes i dont feel when i reached 70mph or more, i have to look in digital meter to avoid any tickets. U dont feel the speed in it. Hoping to keep it for many years....read morehide

- Pros
- great handling and braking ability. Very nimble.
- Cons
- blind spots
Purchased As New
I have put over 5,000 miles on mine. 31 mpg combined freeway/city, excellent handling, comfortable and I am 6'1" 220 lbs. I was convinced it was too small for me until I hopped in it and found that it was a very comfortable fit. Mine came with a dealer added spoiler. Sound system good, but the bluetooth controls for phone are difficult to use and can distract you from the road when trying to speed dial or use the phonebook. Paddle shifting works great. I took this on a 700 mile road trip when I first bought it, averaged over 34 mpg on the freeway, blew through the mountain passes with what felt to be glue like tires. Accelleration is good, but a turbo version would be a ticket generator. TRD rumored to be developing turbo kit.
I think a review from someone who hasn't purchased one really doesn't do justice to any vehicle, other than being able to describe comfort. Driving 5 miles on a test drive in the city doesn't give an accurate assessment of any vehicle....read morehide11 out of 11 people found this review helpful.

I have owned the Honda Si 2004 and the Nissan Spec v Ser 2010. And this FRS by far is my favorite. There is no perfect car especially if you are only spending around 25k in my humble opinion. I do not race and I do not ever plan to do any mods to it, i guess I am to old. As a stock car in my eyes this is perfection. Yes I miss the low end torque of the Nissan, yes I miss the space I had in the civic but for pure driving pleasure this is the one. Rear wheel drive on a budget....read morehide

I should have test driven it first, the blind spots are insufferable, and the car is underpowered.

I have wanted a sports car for years but could never really justify the price of one. I saw this car at my dealers and took it for a ride. Instant Love. It takes corners like your on rails and is quick. The paddle shifters let you wined it out for more power in the corners and straights. I got mine with the ground effects panels so it looks great. I really don’t understand some of the other comments about power. This car has a four cylinder Boxer engine which puts out 200 hp and is FUN. You cannot compare it to a 400+ hp HEMI; it’s not a muscle car....read morehide

- Pros
- Great looking car
- Cons
- Underpowered and back seat is useless

Checked this car out as a replacement for my girlfriends 02 Celica and for a fun summer car for myself. Car looks awesome and for what it is, is priced extremely well. Sales guy wanted to come with us for test drive, he couldn't fit in the back seat and he couldn't have been more than 5'9". Biggest complaint my girlfriend had about her Celica is being underpowered, well this was no different. Felt really disappointed by this car, I get that its a "driver"s car but I just couldn't get over how useless it was for storage and underpowered.
I was looking to get a Miata but hated how small they were. I thought this would offer what I was looking for without giving up what I wanted out of the car but it just made me realize the Miata isn't so bad after all......read morehide3 out of 20 people found this review helpful.

I have driven the automatic with paddle shifters as well as the fully manual. Took it out on the road and on a track. The price for this lvl of performance can't be beat. For those wanting more horse power there are a lot of after market tunning options available. Try the FRS out on the different traction settings. 90 degree turn at 45MPH was SOOOO fun....read morehide
