Purchased As New
Just purchased a 2011 Crimson 5-spd. and have only a couple hundred mileson it so far. I live in a fairly rural area and I am 51 years old. I tend to drive a bit faster than posted speeds except in towns or traffic and can be fairly liberal with throttle usage. I have gotten returns on milage that were 35/29/38mpg for the past couple of fillups. The salesperson (Wendy) and dealer (Prime-Saco ME) were fantastic and had the best experience ever purchasing this car (Scions are a fixed price/fixed finance deal) I drove a 2011 Corolla automatic (my neighbors) and found the xB to feel more substantial in room, motor, and accomodations. Have read many complaints about the instrumentation being distracting, but I find the opposite to be true...easy to read just to the right of the top of steering wheel...can see my speed and the road at the same time. Plan to put in a K&N air filter after I get a good feel for the milage with the stock and would expect milage to increase somewhat with that. Will post a follow-up later.
