- Easy handling and great milage; good interior flexability
- Rear headrest block the rear view; Ride a bit rough

I do a lot of long distance driving so fuel economy is important. I regularly get 34 miles city and 39 - 40 miles highway. Not everyone will get this and XD specs do not claim this; I am only stating what I get with the 5-speed manual transmission and my driving habits.
The XD's smaller size make parking less difficult but does not sacrifice interior comfort. The back seats are easy to flip down when cargo storage space is needed and the fully reclining front seats are great for naps when you pull off the road on long distance drives.
Being fairly short (5'4"), I find the shorter seat pan is more comfortable for me. The passenger front and rear leg room is more than suffient for your average to taller adults. My friends are amazed at the interior roominess.
I've had Lolly (yes, I named my car.) for about 8 months and she's performed well in the heat of summer and handled her first snow blizzard just fine.
Because of the shorter wheel base, the XD ride can be a bit rough but was to be expected for an smaller economy car. The rear head rests block a good portion of the rear window but I simply store them in the trunk until needed.
My only negative comments would be that the sound system controls are a bit confusing to use - especially while driving and the interior cabin is not very well insulated against exterior noise.
Still, she's a great, fun car to drive - sporty enough without trying too hard, handles well and gets good gas milage....read morehide
