Decent mpg, but not very good considering the size of the vehicle and the anemic engine.
Front and side airbags are a nice touch, but without a front/rear/side crumple zone the air bags are not much use....can we say leg amputation?
The car has been into the dealership three times in 12K miles-not very dependable thus far!
The car sqeaks and rattles more than my 26 yr old toyota.
The shifting/transmission is horrible to put it lightly, you have a nice 2 count pause between throttle actuation and actually moving, and the nose dives between shifts because of said pause between shifts=Very Jerky ride.
The cost for this car was 17K, you can buy a really nice dependable used car for that price, one thats safe, and some that get almost as good or better mpg.
I will continue to encourage my wife to get rid of this car....read morehide

This car is so incredibely awesome! It's easy to park with, easy to change lanes, easy to get around in, and doesn't cost too much.

I get 40mpg back and forth to work. My wife's '06 Corolla gets 30mpg for the same commute. There is No other car in the same price range that gets this mileage. I can buy a lot of gas for the $10,000 premium to buy a Prius that gets the SAME mileage. I would like a Prius but they cost too much. I would like a Tesla, too; but they cost too much to. If you need to carry yourself back and forth to work, this is a fine choice. If you have a herd of kids to cart around, choose something else. If you beat your chest, are hairy and are a tough guy, then buy a Hummer. Decide on what you need, and get what you need. This little car is a practical solution for my needs. If I could find a motorcycle that had a heater and could be driven safely in the snow, I would get that. I drove this car EVERY day this winter. We get an average of 110" of snow a year in Central NY. The ESP would not allow me to do donuts. I tried! (you can't be practical ALL the time) I got stuck once. I pushed it out of the drift and drove away. I have "plowed" through my driveway to smoosh the snow down so my wife could get out. The belly pan makes a nice path in the snow. The front bumper pushed the rest off to the sides. The majority of people I meet smile when they see the little car. Too bad everyone didn't decide to smile and be positive....read morehide

I have driven many different vehicles for over a million miles. This is one of the nicer ones for economy and easy driving. Also, people are fascinated by it. Plenty of room for two with 2 weeks of luggage.

I absolutley love it, it is the cheapest car I own and my main driver, the only time I drive something else is when I have more than one passenger.
I drove it 1600 miles with only stop for fuel and bathroom.

A lot of power comes from this engine. It is not like other cars where you have to recharge it every single week.
