I own Forester X for 3 years now. It is trouble free and gets me through bad winters in Cleveland, Ohio. The comfort is reasonable and the power is plenty for someone who has normal driving behavior.
Overall very satisfied except for a few little things:
needing a windshield de-icer, improving the heat flow for the foot, reducing the wind noise from the frameless door tops (not sure if it's because of the frameless top)....read morehide

- Fuel Economy, comfort
- Rear seat is tight for adults, fine for kids.
We bought the Subaru Forester because we live in a high snow area-Craig Colorado (near Steamboat Springs), and because it gets good gas mileage. I know its not a serious off-roader, but we already have a Pathfinder for that. The Forester is great in the snow, and is a quick little vehicle.
