2007 Subaru Forester User Reviews
2.5 X L.L.Bean Edition shown
- $9,215 - $11,951
- Nice and smooth drive, best Mid-sized SUV
- Low mileage per gallon
I have had my car since 4/07 and it is running great. Perfect for my small family. My husband loves how it drives, as well. I would recommended to anyone who want to buy a small SUV for under 20,000 dollars

- Great Value with AWD for under $20,000.00 !
- No Acceleration, OEM Tires Squeal, Factory Audio/CD Very Poor, Road & Engine Noise Extreme.
We traded in our 1998 Forester for a 2007 model. There have been almost no changes in this model since 1998. The acceleration is worse than our 1998 model. I expected to see improvement with road noise and engine noise - no improvements seen. The factory installed audio system is a joke. The transmission seems to want to downshift at all times. The factory tires emit an annoying squeal when attempting to corner at high speeds. Our first 1,000 mile road trip resulted in under 25 MPG when the factory specs boast 29 MPG - rediculous. At the 4000 mile mark the interior is beginning to rattle. I wish we would have spent an extra $7,000.00 for the new Honda CRV....read morehide

- Bigger 2.5 Enigine, Quiter ride, Same great SUbaru control, Nice big Sunroof!
- No seat mounted armrest like the 200 model, No radio CD control up till now!
THis is my 2nd forester,
i still own a 2000 forester, the internal feathers such as arm rests and contol locations were more apporpriate, i was happy to find most of the controls im familiar with are still there,
the only feature they removed was the arm rest mounted into the drivers seats, those provided great comfort for long trips.
Fuel economy, control, and engine power have been greatly improved.
the ride height has been increased which gives this baby a good stand in the sands.
Driving the off-roads has never been more easier or comfy
i dont regret buying this car a second time
and its true what they say "ONCE YOU DRIVE A SUBARU, U CANT DRIVE NUTTIN ELSE"...read morehide

- body color "champagne" interior a cheerful shade of gold
- fuel economy far short of manufacturer's claim
Forerster's are not known for beauty, but take a look at an 07 in a gold tinted silver, with an irristably cheerful gold toned interior! that's right, doors,seats, and rugs. It is an absoloutely charming combination that will lift your spirits each time you use it!! As for the rest of it, unless you are innocent to believe manufacturer's exaggerated claims of unrealistic fuel effiency, you will be very pleased with the entire package....read morehide

- 29 - 30 mpg, handles like a sports car
- none worth mentioning
Only have 7600 miles on 2007 Forester. I think this is a great car. The handling is excellent both on dry and wet pavement. Had low back pain no matter how I adjusted the seat; dealer replaced seat with no decrease. Solved the problem by cutting a kitchen seat cushion in half and sitting that behind my lower back. Perhaps being only 5' 2" exascerbated the problem. Feels just as stable on the road as the Toyota Tacoma I traded in on it and don't have to climb up in the cab. I recommend it to all my friends. The dealer I have has been very helpful and the service is excellent....read morehide

- nice quiet ride..30 mpg on highway..great handling.. excellent front seat leg room
- very little rear seat leg room
We bought a Subaru Forester for my wife back in March.
I was impressed with both the ride and handling. I also
was surprised at the front seat leg and headroom (I'm
6'3"). The Forester was a much better value than either
the Honda CRV or Toyota Highlander.
As I drove the Forester I hated to go back to driving my
Jeep Grand Cherokee...So I bought a new Forester for
myself. It's a perfect vehicle to pack up the mountain bike
and head up to the trails for a ride.. Highway gas mileage
has been a surprise 30 mpg on the highway which is better than Subaru projects.....read morehide

- No engine noise; rapid acceleration; superb interiors; convenience features; SOLID on the road!
- looks department but who cares :)
The best midzied SUV!
Looks: unique and not for everyone;
Road Handling: Superior/ Excellent in any road condition - wet / dry;
Interior : Upscale and lots of user friendly features; helps make life easier/more comfortable on the road;
Noise level : None or minimal; very quiet inside; (engine, tyres)
Over-taking : very easy and graceful
Engine: For daily use and long trips, 160hp should be more than enough
Cornering : AWD in action; great!
The driver-side seatbelt warning at 20+kph is good. Forces the driver to wear the seatbelt.
HIghly recommended!!!...read morehide

- Great engine; well appointed interior; reliable; stable; well built.
- Not the prettiest SUV around; dealers are not very professional
I love my 2006 Forester XT. The Subaru boxer engine is the best around; no shortage of passing power on the highway. Off-road manners are decent but not for extreme conditions. Inside comfort is good, leather seats are comfortable, climate control works well and the sunroof is HUGE. Lots of little compartments to put things in, but does not look cluttered. Steering is easy but very well connected with the road. Sticks to road like glue while cornering. No complaints, really. Highly recommended vehicle....read morehide
