Purchased As New
Just purchased 2.0 XT loaded with the eye-sight system even though I did not really want that system package, but It was the only one on the lot at the time. First I do think that package does have some value on it. The HID headlight are very bright, the keyless system is nice to have, and the eye-sight system itself is better than I thought it would be. I have another car that also has radar cruise control and i never use it because its somewhat dangerous (if a car cut you off, the car would automatically slam on the breaks and almost got rear ended several times). The same thing has happened in the Forester and the eye-sight slows the car down without slamming and is very good at making the system feel natural and not dangerous at all.
The car is solid also, you can feel the quality of the car just by closing the doors. I tested the CX-5 (solid car also) but I came away preferring the XT power and handling that was slightly better in my opinion to the Mazda. The Mazda does handle better than the 2.5 thought, but the Forester is also bigger and has better MPG.
I've also read about uncomfortable seats in this vehicle, but to me (5'10) the seats are great. I do not have any issue with them (so far) or are in anyway short or uncomfortable like some people have said.
Hope this review helps. I haven't tested off road or in snow, but its a Subaru so I'm sure it will be great. Cheers!
