- One awesome automobile for the money. Getting 30mpg highway!
- Can't find any in the first 3,000+ miles, both highway and city driving.
I have a 2006 Impreza Outback Sport Special Edition. Traded a car I absolutely loved, a 2002 Mazda Protege5, to get AWD, ABS brakes, and side-curtain airbags, which the Subaru has and the Mazda didn't. The price was amazing - my dealer in Findlay Ohio discounted the Impreza to the point I only paid $1,000 more than the Mazda had cost me 4+ years ago! This Subaru is screwed together tighter than any car I've ever owned. Can't wait 'til snow season to see how the AWD performs. If you can find one, get the Special Edition package - the upgraded radio/CD system, automatic dimming mirror/compass and rear spoiler are well worth the $500! I drive over 40,000 miles a year and the seats appear to be very supportive for the long haul.
I've owned Toyota, Nissan, VW and the Mazda - but this Subaru may well be the best car I've ever driven.
