- Handling, acceleration, braking, practical design.
- Seats have no lumbar support. No factory splashguards/mudflaps available.
The road feel of this car is fantastic. High speed freeways, tight canyon roads, bumpy city streets, it really handles them all well. The biggest problem I've had is with getting stopped by the police. When accelerating into 3rd, you're at 80mph before you can blink. You have to be careful, it's too fast for normal roads. The "performance" seats on the WRX don't have very good lumbar support and there is no adjustment for it. It may not seem like a very big deal, but on long trips my wife and I both notice the lack of support. We took a ski trip recently and fit 5 adults (2 of which are 6'4") all of their gear for a week of skiing (ski boots included!) and 3 pair of skis INSIDE the car. Were we all comfortable? No, but it all fit! And it was still fun to drive up the canyon road to the ski resort. The stiff suspension keeps its' composure even when overloaded. I'm amazed at the do everything nature of this car. Utility workhorse and performance sports car all in one reasonably priced package.
