- Excellent Predicted Subaru Reliability, solid build, handles well
- Perhaps a bit noisy - road & engine noise, less MPG than claimed

I've had this car two months now, put over 2,000 miles on it so far. This is my third Subaru, and I traded my first to buy this one. It was a '98 Legacy Wagon that was simply the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. I always owned GM until I had had enough with my '89 Beretta.
First, there are MANY inaccuracies on this site about it! It is a SIX speed (virtual, actually) Automatic Trans, NOT a five speed as it says. The trunk pic for this model is wrong - it is a hatchback. The CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is one of its best features! It accelerates normally while the engine seems to be just idling along! When you push it, it revs a bit too much. But it gets good MPH and is pretty fast for such a small engine! VERY smooth, and its handling is among the best - almost identical to ALL Subarus. Plus, it has All Wheel Drive - great for rain-slicked roads or snow. I just LOVE this car, and if it's as reliable as my other two were, I'm going to have it a LONG time! Oh, and cabin electronics are great - Bluetooth music streaming/hands-free talk, plays MP3 from USB device - and it all WORKS, in spite of what some "pro" reviewers have said (maybe they should learn to read! LOL)
I thoroughly recommend this car 100% to anybody looking for practical fun, great handling and brakes, and decent performance while still being picky with gas!...read morehide

this is my 102 car (yes i have issues..lol) my 8th subaru.. i have owned this for 3 months, 2,030 miles. i average around town (i live in the sticks) 25-26 mpg... just drove it 500 miles the other day..99% highway..CT - VT and bk.. 25.5 mpg on the way up (a/c and cruise, 70mph) and on the way bk, 27 mpg ( NO a/c and cruise half the time 70 mph) NO WHERE NEAR THE 36MPG PROMISED !! i do the actual math, the car reading was close to what the math came out to be... already looking to trade for forester XT... the dealership said i have to put 10k miles on it before i start getting the mpg...i call #$%$.. that would be a first for me. the rear cargo area is smaller than the 2005, but you have more leg room in back seats... under the hood is very user friendly if you like to do your own maintenance....read morehide
