My 5-speed 2003 Legacy L Sedan has 158,000 miles on it, and it's running fine. I run oversize 215-55-R16 Michelin Hydroedge tires on it, and it handles like a champ! I also run a K & N permanent air filter on it, and it adds a few HP. I have replaced: both head gaskets, water pump, turn signal stalk, windshield, rt. front wheel bearing, and timing belts (twice). The car is as tight as it was when new. It is a beautiful piece of automotive engineering. If you are interested in a competent automobile, with great reliability (better by far than the Camry it replaced), and very good handling, this car is for you. I say that, admitting that I am past caring about showing off. This car has a top end well north of 120 and, if you learn proper use of all five gears, plenty of useful acceleration....read morehide
