- Well built, economical, good handling, all wheel drive sedan.
Purchased As New
We have about 600 miles on our Legacy Premium 2.5 with the All Weather Package. The handling and steering feel and accuracy on this car is excellent. The seats are comfortable and the instruments are well designed and easy to use. With the onset of winter, the heated seats are greatly appreciated, and the engine warms quickly. The trunk is good sized, and huge when the rear 60/40 split seats are folded. Two slight negatives: the 17 inch Bridgestone tires give a firm ride on rough pavement, and there is a low noticeable humming sound at speeds below 50 mph, which might be caused by either the CVT or the exhaust system "contacting" part of the underside of the car. The dealer service department will check this soon. Recommend adding the body side molding, electrochromic rear view mirror with compass, splash guards, and all weather mats. Fuel economy is around 24 mpg on local roads with lots of stop lights/stop signs. Haven't taken it on any extended highway drives yet, so not sure of the real world highway mpg. If you need a well built, economical all wheel drive car, you can't do better than this Subaru sedan. Subaru sales are way up over previous years, and dealers have trouble getting enough cars to sell.
