We have a 2001 manual Outback with 161K. We are very hard on our car -- we have 2 kids and a big dog and we drive to the mountains to ski every weekend for 3 months of the year. We put studs on our car come November each year -- not necessary but we have another car for in-town and we get dumped on every weekend (snow). Our Subaru is amazing. I literally never shovel snow. With studs, it blasts through all conditions unless it gets high-centered. My friends are always amazed where we can park -- basically we can just gun it and blast into a snow bank if needed.
