- cramped cabin, average fuel consumption
The Outback looks great and is very sporty. Its a blast to drive and AWD makes easy work of the snow. Turbocharger is useful - ideal for overtaking and in the mountains it is effortless. Build quality is close to Toyota standard. The Leather seats are great for wiping clean.
Luggage capacity is good but if you have a family and are going away for a weekend - strollers etc - then a rocket box is a necessity. However a rocket box is much more accessible with Outback than an SUV. Also, Outback & rocket box combination fits under the garage door....
Fuel economy is a little disappointing - 20 mpg is usual. Cabin is tight - with two kids seats in the back there is no room for a 5th passenger.
