I had this car for 7 months now and I have to say that I am very disappointed. I traded in my 2008 outback for a 2010 outback and I wish I did not! Unlike my old outback, this one has a noisy engine and trans. Even though the CVT transmission is smooth, it whines like a bad bearing at all speeds and the whining won?t go away The noise is loud and super annoying to say the least!!! . Subaru says it?s normal!!!!
After my first oil change the dealer reflashed the car?s ECU without my knowledge and permission-not sure why?!! This reflashing killed the car?s fuel economy and performance. Made the car dangerously slow!! As it is it?s a slow car with a 4 cylinder engine. The car is spacious and has a comfortable ride but it?s not worth the annoying noises that it makes and the reduced performance! I am very disappointed. I am thinking of trading in my car soon!...read morehide

- good fuel economy for an AWD
- bluetooth is mediocre; little power when pulling out; rearview mirror obstructs view

This car seemed good value for the money at 1st. A short while after purchased, we noticed a bad smell in the interior (a combination of mildew & dead animal). The dealer attempted to fix, but our family had respiratory problems for 6 weeks while owning the car. Other cons were the buttons to turn on the heated seats are right next to the gearshift & I would frequently bump them on. The rearview mirror is too large & sits too low creating an obstruction. We turned this in for a 2010 Honda Crosstour and have not been ill since....read morehide
