- Engine could use some love, seats a bit stiff
Purchased As New
Purchased one new in February, believe it to be one of the first in the area. I live in an area with a lot of snow, and I drive a good 45-50miles a day on rural roads, ~5,000 miles thus far @~30mpg. This is my family's 9th! Subaru, and the handling and performance in the snow is be expected with snow, slush, rain, mud, etc. For someone looking for Outback performance, with the gas mileage of an Impreza, you really cant beat this car. On the down side, if you are used to driving an Outback, the engine here is a bit weak. 2L, ~150 horses, and the CVT transmission, it has no punch, and seems like it works a little bit harder than it should on the highway. However, if your accustomed to driving some little sedan or wagon, I dont think you will mind. Would be nice if they offered a variety of engine options like the Outback, but no such luck yet!
Great little car overall however
