2008 Subaru Outback Summary

The 2008 Outback is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in 8 trims, ranging from the Sport to the 3.0 R L.L.Bean Edition.

Upon introduction, the Sport is equipped with a standard 2.5-liter, H4, 170-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The 3.0 R L.L.Bean Edition is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, H6, 245-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 24-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
