2005 Suzuki Aerio Sedan User Reviews

- Roomy interior, powerful engine, sound system, excellent intial quality
- funky looks, rear drum brakes, too much understeer
I had modest expectaions when I bought this car. The dealership was anxious to deal and I did my best to take full advantage of that. The large four cylinder engine is especially robust in the mid RPM range. The car is generally nimble and promises to be neutral at the limits of cornering. Unfortunately, forcing the issue leads to too much understeer. I suspect that this is not so much an issue with the standard tires as it is a function of chassis balance. This car fairly cries for a rework of the suspension settings to be amoung the best in its class. The power steering is quite light, but does not lack for feel. There is no need for a 6 speed manual as the fat torque curve of the engine more than compensates. Its almost van like in its seating arrangement. The high mounted sound system carries a sub woofer that fills out the low notes with some authority. I have rolled just over 3000 miles on this care and nothing has come loose, broke or otherwise give me reason for a reliability concern. I was looking to steal some cheap transportaion and what I got was a pretty well thought out automobile.
