2005 Suzuki Aerio SX User Reviews
- $3,994 - $4,519
- standard everything
- wish there were more aftermarket performance parts
Got the 2005 SX and havent been disappointed. This car is deffinitely improved over the older models of this same car. I think Suzuki worked out all of the bugs, glad I waited to buy it!
No problems at all. Handles great and I can say that after having test drove all the competition including Pontiac Vibe Toyota Matrix, Kia Spectra 5, Mazda 5, and the Ford Focus. If you test drive those cars like I did, then try to match the price for what you get in an Aerio..... if you have any common sense you'll buy the Aerio.
One thing to remember though. The Aerio comes with a bunch of REBATES depending on which ones you qualify for. DONT FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE REBATES ON YOUR OWN, THE DEALERS DONT ALWAYS TELL YOU ABOUT THEM!!!
Their sticker price alone is already lower than all the above mentioned cars, even if u get them bare-boned. Then when you deduct the rebates from Suzuki, there is no competition at all.
Sticker price on my car was $15, 499. Then I got the Customer Cash rebate of $1250, the owner loyalty rebate $500 (my cousin owns a vitara, i used his vin number/registration), and I also got the student rebate $500.
Bottom line... I got the 05 SX for $13, 249.
Nothing else came even close.
Oh if you look at the korean competition.... dont forget that their warranty isnt fully transferable like Suzuki's is! Also, with the Suzuki warranty you don't have to pay a deductable each time you need warranty work done. The kia/hyundai warranty there was a $100 dollar deductable per claim! Suzuki's warranty is WAY better!!!...read morehide

- Great Total Package
- Haven't found one yet
Had been looking at Matrix and Focus online. Drove the Focus, and then tried th Aerio by a fluke. I was hooked the first two minutes behind the wheel. Peppy engine and quick handling. Seats are a dream. Fun to drive and comfortable. Two tanks of gas and I am getting 32 mpg mixed driving with the 5 speed.
Sweetest car I have ever owned.
You should deffinitely check out the Aerio....read morehide

- 6disc changer nice touch Very Roomy, Handles Well
- Cabin a bit noisy on the highway
I turned in my 2004 Corolla for my 2005 Suzuki b/c the Suzuki had more standard features for less bucks. My friends over 6'2 thank me for choosing a vehicle with a lot of head room.
I test drove the Toyota Matrix, Ford Focus, Mazda 6 and none of them gave me the features I needed, especially the warranty, I desired for the price
The sporty look does turn heads and gets me lots of compliments. The storage space and turn down seats were just what I was looking for at the right price....read morehide

- car includes everything, I paid $14,200 delivered on the street, I love it
- gas mileage 27-29 mpg I don't think you can get 31 mpg as avertised
I am a large person and I bought it room, large engine, all std at low
price. Only problem I've had a factory recall on rear tire alignment
they fixed the problem and gave me 2 new tires for rear.

- Draws the eye.
- Brakes sometimes clank
This little car is great, I get 40-45 miles to the gallon between freeway and city driving. This has been a life savor in these times of gas prices. This was the best buy I have made in a car for a long time. My first Suzuki and I will be back for another later down the road. I use my car as a work car, however my family of 2 teenagers and husband fit very well for medium to long trips. I LOVE IT!!!...read morehide

- Good fuel economy, roomy, 6disk cd changer, lots of room!
- None worth mentioning (a few squeaks here and there)
I did alot of looking around at the competitors and found that the suzuki aerio sx is the best bang for the buck. Tonnes of room (Even for a 6'8 man and a 5'9 kid right behind him), sporty looking, outside temperature, very good take off and highway passing. I also really like the storage in the back. Underneath the pannels are 3 storage sections and even comes with a bucket! :) Very comfortable seats and a headrest for everyone in the car (5). Side airbags, 4 point ABS brakes, excellent sound system (sub lags a bit though but a bonus), rear seats fold right to the floor. Also for you tall people, very easy to get in and out of the vehicle (doors open almost to a 90 degree angle)...read morehide

- My wife has had an 03 and won['t give it up. I now have an 05. Both get 25 mph in town
- None. This car is super.
You would not believe how excellent this car is. It is also a lot of fun to drive. Can hold a big cargo. Super performace on ice and snow. Better than any 4x4 I have owned. You can not go wrong with this car. I own two an 03 and an 05 (both are awd). The 03 has now been tested through two winters and the performance is very good. It will go through a foot of snow with no problems. Both cars were purchased through Archer in Omaha. A very good dealership in my openion....read morehide

- The ride is great- very comfortable. All the bells & whistles- including waranty. Economy
I have to give a woman's opinion here. I love my Aerio- It is fun to drive and I get a lot of attention, people looking at it and asking about it. I would not hesitate to purchase another one. I also have tried the mazda, pontiac, chevrolet equivalant of this car but choose this one because of price tag and warranty....read morehide

- Good gas mileage, a lot of power, great brakes, great in tight places, gears are easy to change,
I love this car, it goes great, I haven't had any complaints about it so far, I have had it since this past christmas, the best christmas present I have ever bought for myself, the prices are great, goes great on long trips, plenty of room to move around, I hauled a 6ft christmas tree in my trunk w/just the back seat folded down, the music sounds great in it especially w/the subwoofer in it--If you dont own an aerio like I do you dont know what you are missing out on, It is a very safe care, I was going to work one day in the snow and I slid off the road into a ditch and the paint didn't scratch at all on the bushes, I got it pulled out of the ditch by another Suzuki (vitara) and went on down the road w/it--No problems w/it at all so far, GET THIS CAR ASAP if you are in the market for a new, cost efficient vehicle...read morehide
