- Fue economy is fine.
- The fan belt makes noise when starting or when the weather is humid.
Oil burns a bit forming soot around the tailpipe. The seats are made of a thin material that has torn on the driver side. Came with CD player in the back. I've seen it come with the CD player under the seat. Basicall the CD player is not easil reachable. Back door window doesn't roll down. Breaks wear down fast....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, Inside appearance is great, V6 engine response well.
- Ride is a little rought, Brakes squeal and make thud noise when pressed hard.
Since I've had my Grand Vitara it has performed well with the exception of the brakes. My fan stopped working but it was still under warranty so it was replaced no charge and I even got a rental car to use on Susuki to run my errands. I love the fact that I didn't have to pay extra for the moon roof and the six changer cd player that it comes with. It is also "XM" ready as well as mp3. Leather interior is also another standard feature the Vitara can come with. It's an excellent car for the price and I love it....read morehide

- Appearance is good.
- Gas mileage is poor, mechanical problems, tires are poor.
This is my first Suzuki and will be my last. I am very disappointed. Nothing but problems. I have another appointment with the service department today. Have the vehicle 6 months now and this will be my fourth trip to the service department. Probably for them to tell me the same thing. The computer chip is not recording the problems. But I got a little wiser and took pictures of the lights detecting the malfunctions: Engine light comes on; fuel tank light comes on reading empty when it is at least half full; brake light comes on; gas mileage average 10-17 mpg....read morehide

- Good Value Overall
- Better gas mileage would be nice.
Good value for the price! We purchased our Grand Vitara on Guam with the expectation that we would be operating it for short distances around the island with two young daughters (3 and 6 yrs old). We moved to Los Angeles and had the Grand Vitara shipped to LA. Since being in Los Angeles it has been a good vehicle around town and moves very well on the freeway. I'd personally like more comfort for freeway driving but the way it maneuvers overall is terrific. We have made several long distance trips (400 miles plus) and the Grand Vitara has very good performance at "plus speeds" for long distances. Once again, longer drives I'd prefer greater comfort but overall the value is very good. I would have expected better gas mileage for a vehicle in this category but the power and pick up is quite significant. It is a matter of personal preference. I have not seen many in the LA area and have been asked about it from younger (teens and 20's) folks when gassing up. Good value all the way around!...read morehide
