Well in a world of hondas and toyotas, this car definitely stands out. Ive been one of few owners in my town with this car, so most people will not be familiar with the small car, making it a "what is that?" headturner. I bought this car on whim, since i was looking for a mazda 3 at the time, i saw this one from the rear across the lot. I really like the rear styling its a sort of Mini cooper but abit less flashy. the front looks stylish and aggressive. the overall appearance is very sporty and mine has roof racks ontop with cross bars, which also gets a alot of posivite opinions. Interior is nicely appointed LOTS of headroom and leg space, the higher driving position gives you great visibilty and makes you feel like the small car is as big as truck. Engine has a nice purr and is nimble and swift for speeds under 60mph. at speeds around 65~100mph the car is very stable and quiet. my older kia is very noisy and shakey. the Standard Miles per gallon meters will encourage you to drive better as well. Cargo is great, i can fit a full sized lawn mower and edger in the back when the seats are folded up, and still have room to CLOSE the hatch door! All the models include 17inch rims which is nice, i hate hub caps alot. The HUGE front windshield is amazing safe! you will be able to spot and see most everything because its so large and tall, some cars you get distorted views due to small narrow windshields. i reccomend using a larger center rear view mirror to maximize the view all around.
The cars rear interior seats can be quit small, tall enough for adults, the leg room is minimal so dont expect to haul around full grown adults too often. Bumper guard black plastics around the bottom require them to be cleaned and polished up, for me its no problem but for owners who dont wash the car often the plastic will get dirty. Also My cars a/c compressor went out at 50k miles, not sure if it was my fault or not. Also the engine isnt as strong as it should be. You can outrun most cars, but dont expect to hang with anything 200hp or more. I was able to out run a nissan altima and some other models but, the engine feels underpowered. engine is strong feeling, but at first start up, (especially in cold) the engine will be unpowered for a min or two.
Overall the car is good. Its standard features are Excellent! It will make you feel like your car is 25k+ and i believe GPS is now standard! Its great handling for newer drivers, zippy for town driving, nice and sporty for highway and can get about 300miles on one tank. i would reccomend it, my sister got one and she loved it. i think Suzuki is on its way to the top. Alot of economical cars will leave you feeling like your driving a cheap, small weak car. this cars exterior styling and feel stands up to all cars and looks nice if not better than most hatchbacks on the road. i think most ppl will find themselves giving this car a nickname because its so loveable. Mine is electric blue i call it Blueberry. lol
