- Pros
- Heated Seat, Power windown and locks. Sunroof etc.
- Cons
- Shifts funny. Had to get computer rebooted at 156 miles. Bad radio.
Nice car. Looks and drives ok.
Gas milage isn't what the sticker said. Getting about 18mpg.
Had to take it to shop to get computer upgrade right of the bat.
Car doesn't know what to do when driving at one speed. Maybe that is why the owner manual states when breaking in car, "don't drive at one speed."
This car feels nice. Handles well too. Only 155hp but you really can't tell when you are on the highway driving around 75mph.
I hope the resale value is worth the investment....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

I cannot believe I only spent 12,700 for a car with this level of equipment. A person I met has a Acura and likened it to his car. I have 5000 miles so far and no problems. I was going to buy a Accord, but it didnt drive as well and 5000 more for the cost didnt equal the benifits. Job well done Suzuki...read morehide

this car is tough to rate, i bought an Lx with 16 miles on it,on the night of 9/9/04. after 3 hours of paperwork , i got to drive it off the lot all of two & half miles, had to turn around & take it back, for it developed a surging, rpms reving up. turns out tps sensor connecter is bad in harness, they wont be able to get part until monday 9/13/04 so they can fix it. so what happens? i get to read owners manuel & look at spare key for 5 days hope we have no more problems cause i liked the car & have already traded in my 01 mazda protege Es....read morehide

The dark blue metallic paint of my car adds a nice touch of class to a tight, quite car. It has a quality interior. Compared to the Malibu Classic I rented last week, this Korean-made Suzuki is a gem. It compares very favorably with our 2002 Camry. The seats are comfortable. I like it slightly better than the Kia Optima. The AT transmission and its shifter mechanism could be better. I wish Porsche had helped them more with the transmission than with the engine. Gas mileage has been good. The gauges are well-lit at night -- maybe a little too well-lit. But the white background is easy to read. Back seat is a little tight, but the truck is roomy....read morehide

I do like the Verona for the good materials used in the interior, and for the smooth, quiet, soft ride that it offers for a car of its class. You'll be impressed by the smoothe, quiet ride & good interior materials if you're not impressed by anything else.

Avis gave me a Verona during a recent car rental. It seemed to me to be equal in size and quality to a Camry or Accord. It's good looking and has a spacious, comfortable, and well appointed interior. The Verona has a responsive engine, and is quiet while cruising at high speed. I drove it for about 350 miles, mostly on I-20, pushing the speed limit a bit, and still managed about 29 mpg. I found the steering to be a bit sensitive,(sports-car like) which required some getting used to. I checked the MSRP and it seemed more than reasonable, given the apparent quality. If I were in the market for a vehicle in this price range (which I am not), I would give the Verona strong consideration....read morehide

We've had our Verona for almost two months. Up until now it's been a great car and we do like the design and the drive. HOWEVER, that was until the car started having transmission problems. Shifting very hard into 3rd gear every time it got around 35 mph and then down into neutral on its own. Do not believe what they say about the Suzuki certified techs, because our new cars transmission is going to Atlanta right now and we may not see our car back for up to two months. And the company and the two available Suzuki dealerships could not be more unhelpful. Do not buy this car. Suzuki has strange rules about the techs not being able to open the transmission and even if it hadn't been transmission problems, they seem to have a shortage of techs to look at their cars. The two closest dealerships said it would take a week before they could even see it. Also, (and this is hard to believe), when they finally did look at the car, they said it took so long because their diagnostic machine to evaluate the car was not updated to review our model/2004. Are they assuming every new car they make won't have issues? They shouldn't, but if they do, their garages should be ready for that long before a car comes in the door. Also, posted on their website they offer a courtesy rental car if a new car has to stay even one night in the shop, and I can tell you it's now a week later and we still don't have a rental car. All this, even with calling Suzuki of America daily and the dealership. What a headache. I hope it will meet the lemon law parameters and we can get out of the car. You don't see many suzuki's on the road. This is why. Don't make the mistake we made....read morehide
