2006 Suzuki Verona User Reviews
- $5,026 - $5,634
- comfort and style. great ride over the road
- hard to find parts/only from the dealer.
Purchased As New
My 2004 verona has almost 100k miles and not much has realy gone wrong with it.I had some warranty repairs done at first but not much else after that.Just regular maint repairs.I like the car because it's different looking and made than all the other import sedans out there. All the dealers that were close to me have now closed up and the only one left is a bit of a ride to get parts from and they always have to order them. But I love the car for the reasons I bought it for.Big and comfy....read morehide

- Decent fuel economy, Nice Looking Car.
- Major problems for a brand new car! Upper/Lower control arms, defective gas cap
I bought this car new and got a very good deal on it. Now I KNOW WHY! At 12K miles, the upper and lower control arms needed to be replaced. The ride improved dramatically after this work was completed under the warranty, but various other "little" things are now happening. I had an intermitant "engine" warning light come on and found that the computer that controls the entire vehicle needed to have the newer software program loaded onto it. How is a consumer supposed to know this?? It kept happening even after the vehicle received the updated scan! The car started to stall as a result of a defective gas cap that would not lock into place. This caused the e-vap system to have problems. Here's the kicker - - I got so frustrated with this vehicle and lost total confidence in it that I tried to sell it. Be prepared to take it on the shins when you try to dump this vehicle, as there have not been many of them coming through vehicle auction houses, so there is not enough "used" sales date available for the public and dealerships to make a "decent" offer. Now, I am forced to drive it until the wheels fall off (which, by the way, may not be too long from now!). Overall, a poorly made vehicle with inferior parts that in the long run is just not worth it. The car has some very good looks, but as I now know, "looks CAN be deceiving". Suzuki is coming out with a 2008 redesigned version of the Verona on a Nissan platform. It could be a Mercedes platform and I still wouldn't buy another one, even if my life depended on it. :(...read morehide

- just a great car
- no objections
I O'ready had a comment before about this car my name is Carlos Arias, but after my previous comment , I had lived a great experience, My beatyful wife and I took a vacation from Plant City Fl. to the Niagara Falls and across the border to Toronto, Montreal, New York, Washington, Hilton Head N.C. St. Simons Island, Ga. Sn Augustine Fl. and back to Plant City Fl.this trip took us for a ride of 3475 miles the most beautyful ride we ever had and guess on what on our wonderful 2006 Suzuki Verona Luxury we enjoyed the trip, de Great American landscape the most wonderful hidden places along side the road stopping, eating, resting and taking about 500 pictures Some times we exceeded the speed limits,, some times faster than exceedinng and some other times at the speed limits, ( did not get no tickets) The average miles per gallons stayed within 25 to 27 MPG,the smoothness of the car never got us tire, or exahusted at all, after driving over 600 miles on a day (some days) after we got back we felt we never ride a car on that trip BUT THE SMOOTHNESS OF A FLOATING 4 WHEEL VEHICLE '' WE LOVE IT''...read morehide

- flawless operation, torque, smooth & powerful, quiet ride, brakes & tires still like new
- not much comes to mind
This car has been flawless after 3 years and 29k miles. Things to consider: engine and powertrain are flawless; can't understand the compaints. Interior and exterior, fit / finish/ paint quality, build quality, as good as it gets. Not one problem in 3 years other than a nail in a tire, haven't done anything except oil changes and add gas. How may Hondas and Toyotas can you make the same claim? Heated leather power seats, power moonroof and everything else, ABS, and the inline 6 is a packaging marvel (Volvo, Lexus and Toyota also offered this configuration) and the best part, $17,800 out of my pocket. I would challenge anyone to to find this engineering at this price anywhere else. In my opinion, Suzuki has mastered the art of value engineering. PS. Watch out for the 2008 Verona, it will be world-class....read morehide

- Ride is rough, probs w/ Transmission, ABS, Radio controls, Problems can never be duped by Suzuki?
I wish I would have never bought this vehicle!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Many 2004 models have been bought back as Lemons! Suzuki can never "duplicate" the problems that I report, the car is constantly in the shop and never manages to be fixed. Worst purchase I could have made. Sadly, it looses so much value, you cannot sell it after you buy it without losing a ton of money. BUYER BEWARE!...read morehide

- good looking car, comfort
- not enough horses, wind noise
I have had this car for 2 years and had no major problems with it. I can not complain, but the reviews scare me because it seems like you either got a good one or a bad one. Thank god mine is a good one. Suzuki stopped making this car in 2007 because of all of the problems if that tells you anything. I will enjoy my car, but will not get a suzuki again. Next time I will do more research before I purchase a vechile!!!...read morehide
