Lemon!

by Mel from Las Vegas, NV (8/19/08)
Pros:Good gas mileage, nice sound system
Cons:Air doesn't work well & just when warranty runs out it dies! in shop so much!

Since bought have had one problem after another. If in budget would trade in & get anything else! Worst car ever! Bought cause reviews were so good but learned the hard way! Do not buy this car! Have continually had in shop since buying it so please don't buy this one!

The Burb Mobile

by K. Michael McCLain from West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA (8/10/08)
Pros:EXCELLENT FOR HIGHWAY TRAVEL
Cons:POOR CITY/SHORT TRIP MILEAGE

I have lived in the burb of Philly for almost 15 years and this Suzuki is my 3rd one if 5 years (one in an accident and the other belonged to partner).

I bought this car simply because I live in the burbs and travel 17.5 highway miles to work each day. The car handles well in highway traffic, overall great value for the money, but....when taking little trips here and there, you can watch the gas gauge go down! It is not meant to be a city dwellers car at all.

but for someone like me who travels almost exclusively on the highway to everwhere - the gas mileage is brilliant (roughly 34 mpg).

Easy maintenance, no recalls on my model, and the only interior drawback is that it is not a multiple cd player, but does have mp3 and audio input capabilities, which makes up for that...even the family dog (golden retriever) loves riding in the car!

Even contemplating trading this one in for a newer model is not out of the question - after 1 year with this car, completely satisfied!

POOR CITY MPG

by Andrew from Somerville, MA (8/10/08)
Pros:nice looking, A/C included, price, front seat air bags
Cons:city MPG is horrible, a little noisy,

While I do like my Forenza's nice looks and feeling safe with the front and side air bags my biggest complaint is that for a small car the fuel economy is not good at all. At best ,with careful driving habits, I only get 17MPG in the city a far cry from the 22MPG they claim. I wish I had known that before buying.

I LOVE this car!

by kim from Houston (8/10/08)
Pros:handles beautifully, tough little car!
Cons:multiple recalls, but issues were fixed with no problems

I bought my 04 new, just paid it off last month and the only problem I've ever had was a recall issue with the electrical system (the low beam switch) that the dealer took care of in about 20 minutes. The other recall issues were handled before any problems occurred. I've been rear-ended a total of 3 times, and it took a ford expedition the last time to do any noticable damage, and it was still very minor. A very tough little car, it looks wonderful in silver and handles like a champ! Gas milage is average, not exceptional, but I do not plan to trade it in as long as it will start!

Funky Forenza makes it happen

by Inayah from Alexandria, VA (8/09/08)
Pros:Good fuel, good drive, comfortable and handles well
Cons:Brakes a little slow, gets dents easily

I have had my Forenza for almost 6 years. It'll be paid off by 2010! This car was a car i wasn't sure I wanted but it has taken me across the country with everything I owned in the back seats and trunk. I've put about 50k miles on it and the gas mileage has been great, carrying large furniture pieces, moving multiple times and handling in the snow, ice, extreme heat and heavy humidity, the Forenza has withstood it all. It has a nice sun roof, good radio (though it went out the first year I had it), seats and the ride are comfortable. I've only had a few major things replaced on my car in 4 years, the timing belt and power steering pump went out completely. I was a little shocked that no warning light came on but other than, it was relatively cheap to fix. The con is that it has a Daewoo engine and some of the parts aren't even in the states. I would not buy another Suzuki because of this fact, but it hasn't given me any other issues since I bought it. The tires do well and the engine runs great. It could do for more power when going up hills and handling could be tighter in the snow and rain, the brakes are holding up after 4 years and I'm sure i'll have to replace them in another year.
All in all, it's a good car that has done a lot for me and I'll keep it as long as possible. I get great gas mileage. I live about 10 mins from work and I can go about two weeks without fueling up.

Good value

by mcsicu from Huntsville, AL (8/09/08)
Pros:I get 30mpg overall, it has surprising room, very impressive quality, and its very quiet inside.
Cons:This car isn't going to win a drag race or an autocross.

Ive been very happy with this car. I got a good deal, and it has met my every expectation. I wish it had ABS brakes standard, but other than that its been a great car for commuting.

Good Value

by Todd K from Saratoga Springs, NY (8/03/08)
Pros:A excellent vehicle. Gas milage is fantastic, 31-32 MPG depending on my driving. And thats not hiway
Cons:Not really that many to mention. Power could be increased while going up hill.

Overall I feel I got a very good deal. I like the 5 speed with the ring you have to pull up in order to go into reverse. Smart move there. The stereo rocks!! I have had for about 4 months and have never driven a car that handles that corners that well. Very roomy as well. The price was right for what I wanted.
