2008 Toyota Tacoma 4X2
There are 3 user reviews for the Regular Cab I4 Manual trim shown below
- Nice styling, pretty good gas mileage, quality interior, durable
- Seats can be uncomfortable on long trips, sometimes difficult to shift into reverse when on a hill
Purchased As New
Overall I am very pleased with this truck. I purchased this new in '08 and this is just the base 'no frills' Tacoma. I am extremely impressed with this truck. The 2.7L I4 definitely feels like a 4 banger, but is plenty adequate during normal use. I average around 22-23mpg and can usually get around 490-500 miles on a tank. I love the custom rubber bedmat and adjustable tie down hooks, which are included. However, they really need to get rid of the non-adjustable bench seats, which can be very uncomfortable on long trips! Also, they need to put better tires on this truck out of the factory, they are horrendous on slippery roads!...read morehide

- Excellent light duty, low cost truck, good comfort and performance.
- Too few trim accessories available
I have owned this vehicle now for 20 months (late 06).
I have virtually 19,000 miles, and it is excellent. I am very pleased with it and with Toyota Service in general.
One complaint: squeeky clutch pedal.

- Fuel economy
This is my first Toyota and overall it is impressive. Perfect for someone wanting a light/medium duty truck. The only glitch was that the dealer had an after-market cruise control installed which must be shut off before stopping the engine or it will need to be reset by the installer.
