I like everything in this truck, use it back and forth to work and from time to time on weekend projects, lumber and garden stuff. I have one comment, when i purchase this truck this condition did not come to mind until I notice re-reading the specs. The regular cab is supposed to be a 3(three) passenger truck but there is just no way to accomodate a third person in the bench seat, the left leg of the person in the middle has no place to put anywhere as it will interfer with the gas pedal, from a personal point of view, I wish toyota have a regular cab with two bucketseats and some kind of a box in the middle to put stuff in. this is on the specs of all regular cabs pick-up as a three passenger truck....read morehide

- Pros
- smooth, comfortable, strong engine
- Cons
- clutch, no cruise control

A great looking truck, torquey engine
I miss the old compact toyota pickups, but this is essentially the same thing.. just larger, heavier, and safer I suppose.
Lots of technology; electronic throttle, bluetooth, traction control, "auto-lsd". But no cruise control hah. Fortunately you can turn TC off if you want.
At first I thought the transmission was very notchy, but as it breaks in it's starting to feel like my old toyota.
The clutch is extremely gradual and rather awkward, and 2nd gear snags sometimes on cold mornings....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

I bought a new 2008 in 2007. It was good for hauling lawn and tree waste, then last summer I used it to haul a heavy moving trailer to California. I wasn't sure it could do it, but it came through for me. No burn on the transmission fluid or any other problems. Yes, climbing the mountains was slow, and coming down the mountains was slow and very cautious because the trailer was as big as the truck- but it did it. Good truck, everything I had hoped for. I am now considering buying a Tundra....read morehide

- Pros
- More cab room than my Ranger or Nissan. A/C is a standard feature.
- Cons
- Plastic Bed. 4 speed auto transmission
Purchased As New
Bench seat is comfortable but has no fold down arm rest.
More room than my other small trucks.
Rides very smooth. Turns very easy. I think that it has a wider stance (wheel base) than my other small trucks and feels better when going around curves.
I thought that the bead had a plastic liner over the steel bed. There is no steel bed. Just the plastic bed. Don’t know what to think about that. Will find out after loading it up with fire wood. How will it hold up to several years of weather? We will find out.
I expected a little better mpg. It only has a 4 speed automatic but seams ok so far.
Plenty of room under the hood. Should not be a problem replacing an alternator or whatever later on.
I like the standard Bluetooth phone sync on the raido. There are plenty of spit cup holders.
It’s hard to give the star ratings as I have only had it 3 days. I will try to update this in several months....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
