- Strong engine
- Requires premium gas, soft steering, rear axels
This is my 2nd Tacoma as I owned a 1999 4x4 before. After 25K miles, it's been an ok truck but not the best. The engine is very strong but requires premium gas. The interior layout is nice with a good JBL sound system. The seating position is not that good for me, I am a short person and the seating is kinda close to the ground which makes it hard to see the rear and side mirrors. We had to take it to the dealer twice to fix the rear axels because the gears made a grinding sound. They final just put in a new rear axel but I didn't expect this kind of problem from Toyota....read morehide

- engine, stereo, aftermarket
- chassis, bed, transmission
Drives like a car and that's about it. Engine requires premium gas and engine knocks if you don't use premium gas. Good truck but older Tacoma is better.

- I like the styling, great handling with the TRD Off-road package, fuel mileage is not impressive
I love this truck. I've had trucks before but this truck is great for me. It's a perfect size, fit's my needs perfectly. The double cab is roomy without feeling overly spacious. The truck bed is adequately sized for carrying medium sized loads, the adjustable bed rails with cleats is just great. The engine bay is clean and well thought out and designed with ease of use in mind.
I added a Undercover Tonneau Cover from a local distributor price matched to Autoanything.com. This cover is excellent, easily removed and stored when I need the extra space.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this truck....read morehide

- Great room for all Passengers without the fuel consuption of the full size
Have owned many different makes of vehicle and the Toyota out performs and last longer than any of the rest. Went from a 2000 Tacoma 4x4 TRD X-Cab and have nothing but praise for the 2007. Best fuel milage ever, most towing of a mid size truck, best all around on and off-road performance, best of all more room than the NISMO Frontier which is cheaper but not even close to the same league as the Tacoma TRD...read morehide

- General looks/ Toughness/ Good size
This truck is tough, it looks great and is the perfect size- not to big but not too small. I came from a full-size domestic 4x4. Let me tell you what a better ride I get now. If you don't need a full size truck to tow anything (even though the Tacoma can tow 6,500 lbs)- this would be a great option- plus you can save on gas! I really enjoy this truck....read morehide

- Superb ride, outstanding quality bumper to bumper
I have owned a new Chevrolet Z-71 and a Dodge Ram 1500 and this truck puts them to shame. The ride quality (Off Road Sports Package with 17" wheels) is awesome. Very quiet at freeway speeds with minimal road noise. The Double Cab has plenty of leg room for the rear passengers and more than ample space for front passengers. I am 5' 11"/210 and was very comfortable driving this truck home (200 mile trip). Fuel economy is excellent for a 4 wheel drive. I love the control locations on the console and the ability to adjust the steering wheel not only up and down, but telescopic as well.
My wife and I could not be more pleased.!....read morehide
