Purchased As New
I though I done my homework when I bought this truck. The first trip I was very disappointed with the gas mileage. After a couple thousand miles I started noticing a noise from the clutch area. I reported this every time I took the truck into for service. 5K,10K,15K. Then I used the truck for what I purchased it for. A little offroading on our ranch. The first time I put the truck into 4x4 low the clutch burned up and then started slipping. Went to a dealership and stated the clutch was slipping, well you can guess the story. Sorry we don't see a problem. Well I go to another dealership a few weeks later and they say they do see a problem. They replace everything within the clutch. I think all is Great now. A week later I put the truck into 4x4 lo and I'm sitting on some snow. Instead of the tires spinning on the snow, the clutch burns up again. They Have a T-SB-0066-11 and it states they have been having problems with this clutch for 6 years. I drove on this clutch for 3,000 miles before it failed. I have 23,400 miles on the truck. Clutch is out and Toyota wants to put the blame on me as they do with other Tacoma owners. Tis is Bull. Now Toyota doesn't want to do anything and is a waste of your time trying to talk with them in CA. main office. I have filed a Lemon Law case here in TX.
