- It is my first truck. It look great, good power, comfort, roomy, mileage not too bad
- the small part of the paint of the front bumper came off when I used a pressure water to wash it
As I said it is my first truck, I felt the truck does not have enough power to pull my 23 feet sea ray boat.

- Horse power is out of this world, brakes are the bomb and the handling is great.
- None at this time
When I decided that I was going to get a truck, I wanted a truck that was strong, reliable and was easy on the eyes. I followed this truck for awhile because the front of it had to grow on me. The more I saw the truck, the more i liked it. I wasn't hooked until I took it for a test drive. Now I have the 4X4 Crewmax (5.7) and I love it. I have the Salsa red with the Big 20 inch tires. People always tell me that they like my truck. I just put the Line-x in the back that really brought it out more. If you want a truck, this is the one for you. I love my truck....read morehide

- nice looking,comfortable,plenty of power
- no keypad entry
I am very pleased with my Tundra 11000 miles no issues so far. I read some of the other reveiws and it seems that one of the biggest complaints is fuel economy #1 its a truck and if its fuel economy they want they should own something other then a truck.. I own a Ford pickup and a GMC neither one gets any better then the other maybe a mile or two.. It takes fuel to make POWER if you don't think so just ask your mechanic.. I think any pickup that can get between 13 to 15 mpg running around is decent which by the way none of the three I own get better unless on a trip. By the way all 3 are 2008 models all are half tons all are loaded....read morehide

- Beautiful vehicle, comfortable, powerful but smooth engine, spacious, excellent sounds
- Toyota could improve on the 13 MPG
This truck is a dream come true, even if you don't normally like trucks. Everything about the purchase of this vehicle was wonderful as well. I had a spectacular sales representative named Chris Ashley at Lithia of Abilene who was tireless in answering all my questions, and was very strait forward with the previos feedback obtained. The "Limited" version of the Tundra has more luxury then you could have ever hoped for in a truck before, everything from the Blue tooth phone system, XM radio, and automatic teliscoping steering wheel is a breeze to operate. (And all made in San Antonio, Texas) This is my third Toyota and the quality and quantity recieved for my money has never been better. Chris has become a trusted friend and I would recomend him and the entire Lithia team to anyone in the market for a vehicle. The after sale treatment and service has been just as extrordinary as the purchace of my 2008 Tundra Crew Cab....read morehide

- Horrible fuel economy, horrible handling/ride, poor looks
Before purchasing, I test drove the Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram, the Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra, and the Ford F150. While the Toyota had some decent features such as roomy interior and nice sound system, overall my ranking of this vehicle amongst the four was a 3rd place finish. The Dodge was easily the least desirable. The Chevy/GMC trucks were very nice, but easily above and beyond the rest was the truck I subsequentally bought, the Ford F150 Lariat SuperCrew. The Tundra had slightly more room in the interior than the Ford, but the price of the Ford and the elegance of the interior and the quietness, ride/handling characteristics of the Ford made it an easy choice over the Toyota and the Chevy/GMC. The Tundra does have good power with the 5.7L. My toyota salesperson told me I would average 16mpg. On a overnight test drive, however, I found at best it was capable of 13. The Ford easily got 17, with excellent power as well. The 2008 F150 I bought is a much nicer looking vehicle in my opinion as well and it outperformed all of the others in most categories; I think all the others should be worried when the new 09 F150 I saw in pictures comes out with their more fuel efficient 6-speed transmission that will boost fuel economy. Toyota did a nice job with this Tundra, but still needs alot to catch my Ford....read morehide

- Plenty of Power, Lots of room for the Big Guy, Ride is Great and Audio system is a TEN!
- Fuel Mileage not the best but afterall it is a 5.7 V8. Keypad entry would have been nice.
I have owned a Chevy 1 ton, 3/4 ton, and 1/2 ton. Most recent vehicle was a 2001 Ford Expedition. Found myself looking to get back behind the wheel of a pick-up and after a lot of research and test drives I went with a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Crewmax Ltd. with the 5.7 V8.
My Tundra also came with the 20" tire upgrade as well as the DVD Navigation system and audio system upgrade. I am quite the audiophile and I absolutely love the sound this truck pumps out! The bluetooth feature makes handsfree use of your cell phone a pleasure.
The back-up camera is also great when hitching the boat or anything else you decide to haul and this truck can pull it's fair share and then some.
You will also learn to love the auto-dimming mirrors when driving at night. If that is not enough you will just have to love the power rear window. Great for venting a HOT truck after sitting in the sun all day or just for enjoying some fresh air when out putting the Tundra through it's paces.
I highly recommend a spray-on liner such as the Linex liner I had installed. It is the only thing Toyota did not send this one out with!
Overall a Great Truck. Motor Trend was Right on with this one!...read morehide

- Great looks. Awesome acceleration. Very roomy.
- Will sometimes jump too hard when you accelerate quickly
This is the nicest truck I have ever driven. Leg room front and back
would easily accomodate tall basketball/hockey players, even with
rear seat in reclined position. Not cheap on gas but standard for a
full sized pickup. Very quiet when cruising but has a great growl
when you floor it. Overall would buy it again....read morehide

- great power 5.7 V8/smooth ride
i drove the limited tundra 5.7 for about a week before i bought mine, the dealership work with me and gave me a test truck to if i like it or not. well i like it alot that i bought one and i even got a deal on free oil change for 6 months. i know that that 5.7 is hard on gas mileage but what do you expect, its a 5.7 V8 thats a really big motor and making over 380 hp so those ponies gotta eat. i also tested the smaller V8(4.7) but just didnt have the punches or kicked that the big V8 (5.7) has, and so after a week and went back in and sign on the dotted line and came home with my new 5.7 V8 tundra....read morehide
