- ride very rough, lack of power V8 4.6, ugly orange light display. Basic sound system sucks.
Purchased As New
All my life have used Toyota because of reliability, so I expected a lot from brand new 2010 tundra V8 4.6 w/ tow and snow package. I am very disappointed on the rough ride (Dodge and Ford have better ride by far), very disappointing sound system (compared to my wife's Sienna LE with standard sound system). I was expecting better fuel economy than 16 miles per gallon (avg drive about 50% city and 50% hwy) and that's why I choose 4.6 instead of 5.7 V8. If I would know I would have choose 5.7. (compared to the nice silver with blue display of my wife's 2004 Sienna LE). Well after 30K and next 5 years of payments and disappointment, I should learn to do more research on my next vehicle. So my recommendation: if you don't mind the ride then get the 5.7 engine, upgrade to the premium sound system and be ready for the orange glow of your instrument panel....read morehide
