- WISH I COULD AFFORD ANOTHER LIMITED W/V8 AND NAV..
ONCE INSIDE THE KING OF LUXURY LIMITED MID-SIZE SUV, YOU WILL BE SO PLEASED,RELAXED, AND STRESS FREE TO GO ANYWHERE/ANYTIME AND ANY KIND OF WEATHER. I ESPECIALLY RECOMMEND THE MORE POWERFUL V8 ENGINE AND THE NAVAGATION SYSTEM WITH BLUE TOOTH AND BACK-UP CAMERA. ALSO THE LIMITED COMES STANDARD WITH 2-MEMORY DRIVER'S SEAT AND LIGHTED RUNNING BOARDS. THIS VEHICLE IS SO AWESOME AND VERSATILE. HAULING,TOWING,OFF-ROAD,RAIN FLOODING,DEEP SNOW,AND JUST CRUISING. TEST DRIVE ONE FOR YOURSELF AND COMPARE FEATURES,RIDE,SAFETY,AND PRICE. MY CO-WORKER HAS A O6' FORD EXPLOYER LIMITED AND NOW HE WISHED HE SETTLED FOR A TOYOTA 4RUNNER LIMITED AFTER COMPARING HIS TO MINE. FORD IS DEFINITELY BEHIND ON TECHNOLOGY. ONE MORE THING DON'T FORGET ALL 4RUNNERS COME STANDAND WITH 5-STAR SAFETY SYSTEMS TO INCLUDE VSC,TRACTION CONTROL,ABS,BRAKE ASSIST,AND BRAKE DISTRIBUTION.......read morehide

- nice ride, great acceleration, well engineered controls, looks great
- sparkles in paint, voice cmd terrible, low headroom
just bought a 2006 limited v8 with nav package for 7k below msrp (37k-41k out the door). Cant believe how much car i got for the price. Everyday i find something new i love. Drove landrover for 8 years before this and will never go back - truly a unique driving experience and i actually look forward to my commute now. Only draw back is i had to settle for metallic blue (could not find galaxy gray with preferred equipment anyware - 13 different dealers !) Getting used to the color although sometimes it looks a little purple. Just keep telling myself its BLUE, its BLUE. Best car ive ever had - smooth and nimble yet powerful and accelerates great. Miss the height i had in my rover but its all worth it....read morehide

- handling, ride, interior quality, ruggedness, over all quality for $
- fuel, but then again it's a suv!
I am 5'10" with long legs, have zero problem with height and/or leg issues, esp since it has various seat adjustments and a telescoping steering wheel adj.
I fell in love with this midsize suv when I got it while renting a suv for a week. I was impressed with it's un-truck like handling, how well it drove thru a snow storm up in Minnesota & Wis., cabin quietness on the highway. It was a feel of overall quality.
I've rented various suv's and this is the one which impressed me, fit my needs(along with my dogs), is a Consumer Reports recommended suv, caused less driver fatigue on those long road trips due to it's quietness(very important to me, and which made the decision easier between the Honda Pilot, another excellent suv except for the noise factor)and last but far from least-the cost.
My only wish list for this vehicle is; A slightly longer seat for more thigh support, and a lock for the full size spare tire....read morehide

- Style, 4x4 system, top-line audio
- Over priced, drivetrain clunk, wind noise, exhaust gas entry
I traded in a Lexus GS for this $45,000 SUV and I am regretting it. Yes it looks good and is comfortable, but it has a major engineering defect that many 4Runner owners deal with: a driveline clunking that Toyota knows of but won't do anything about. Also I wish you did not have to have AWD just because it is a V8, its uses more gas and puts more wear and tear on the vehicle. Also at this price I should have backup sensors and auto diming mirrors for the outside. Toyota replaced my entire exhaust system due to foul exhaust fumes making it into the veh and it is still there whenever you mash the gas. Do not buy a 4Runner unless you love it so much you will be willing to live with some oddities. I understand the Lexus GX470 has similar issues....read morehide

- Over all great SUV
- None so far
After 3 Toyota pick-ups went to a Jeep SUV. Will never go back. 03 jeep grand Cherokee limited with HO V8 was in the shop so much I was not sure if it was my vehicle or the dealers. The 4Runner is by far the best vehicle I own. The over all ride and performance are awesome.
