- Fuel economy, comfortable, everything handy!!
I LOVE my 4runner! Is my second SUV and I made the right decision. I tested couple SUV's before choose this one. Very comfortable, kids are comfortable, economy in gas, good performance. Awesome towing my motorcycles!

- excellent power, great sounding JBL 6 disc cd player
- At 16.9 mpg, there is room for improvement, No xm radio offered as of today.
Has excellent power and a very good quiet ride. I really like the climate control. WOULD BUY AGAIN!

- Good fuel economy for SUV around 21 hwy, Good power for V6
- Rattle in rear passenger seat area
Good SUV, it has a lot of power for having a V6. I am a little tired of the rattle in the rear passenger seat area. I have had it in once for repair and still it rattles. I had done quite a few test drives with other similar SUV's and the 4Runner performed the best. Very little wind noise and very comfortable driving position (for people under 6 feet). This is my second 4Runner and I hope this one lasts like the previous. I did a good value from trade in....read morehide

- Smooth ride and quiet
This SUV drives like a dream. It drives itself! It's hard to realize somtimes that I'm well over the speed limit since the ride is so smooth. Outstanding vehice.. The only complaint I have is the steering. Seems like I have to fight it more, especially on windy days, but I do live next to the Chesapeake Bay and taking the Bay Bridge and other bridges during commutes, plus with the high profile does factor in. Otherwise this is a great SUV. Typical Toyota quality (My 3rd), Classy looks and reliability. I have researched other SUV's in this price range and would buy no other!...read morehide

- Looks awesome. Lots of capacity to haul things.
- Drivers seat is VERY uncomfortable. Ride is a little rough.
I got the "Shadow Mica" color. In the shade, cloudy or on a rainy day it looks teriffic. Of course that's when I bought my car when it was raining. However, in the sun the color has lots of "flecks" (sparkle) of blue and green and I don't like it, I mean I REALLY don't like it. With respect to my comment about the drivers seat, there are some controls but nothing seems to work to where I would be comfortable driving the 2006 4Runner for several hours at a time. So you are asking why did I buy it? It looks great. It has a terrific reliabiity record. Is that good enough to spend $30K on a vehicle...probably not in 20/20 hindsight....read morehide

- Drives better than it looks, rides great, excellent on ice and snow.
- Goofy mirrors inside the cargo area are disconcerting
I have two weeks and 300 miles on my new SR5 V-6 4x4 and it is better than I expected with regard to ride quality and performance. The ride is very good, very quiet, very comfortable. Performance is good, much quicker and much more nimble than most SUVs. I shopped all models, from Ford to LandRover, and found the 4-Runner to offer the best ride, best handling, and best performance. I have yet to get it off road, but it will get a workout this spring, and with the ground clearance, locking differential, and solid rear axle, I expect it no problems....read morehide

- Smooth ride, smooth transmission, handles like a car
- Too pricey, lacks power
Just got this truck. Rides like a car and is very smooth. Gas mileage is better than some other SUVs such as Explorer or Pathfinder. Bottom line, it is way toooo pricey. Get the Sport Version, which is the better value.

- great ride,
I've slept in this truck, help friends moved, drove all over the U.S. the ride was the performance were great. I drove other trucks, but the 4Runner is the best. It has that rough look of an offroad truck, as well as a slick look of a luxury model. a must buy.

- Great mileage, for an SUV!! Quiet ride, plenty of power, great stereo, turns heads everywhere!!
- No third row seating, power windows & locks controls badly postioned. Front cup holder sucks!!
A little pricey for what you actually get. The MPG is surprisingly good (for an SUV) and the power is outstanding in the 6 cylinder model. Towing capacity is excellent!! Rides better than the Honda Pilot, Ford Escape & Explorer, the GM midsize SUV clones, and the Dodge Durango (terrible MPG!!).
Overall, a very comfortable, stylish & well made vehicle. Cudos to Toyota!!...read morehide

- Excellent build quality, reliable history, ergonomics well thought out.
- Nit Pick Only, Would like to see both front windows be fully automatic.
This is my third 4 runner and Ialso owned 2 Chev. Blazers. Lost an engine in the first Blazer and and had the fan assembly come off the second at 2000 miles. Never had my 4 Runners back to the dealer except for normal service. I pull a camper and use the vehicle extensively off road. Live in Arizona so lot's of opportunity to put this new Sports Edition to the test. Love the suspension and the V6 is more than adequate. Handling is superb both off and on road. This vehicle is well thought out and has all the features of a luxury vehicle as well as a great weekend off road adventure truck.Exceptional all the way around!...read morehide
