- Good acceleration, xm radio integration
- Rotten egg smell on acceleration, Suspension a little soft
Have just over 1K miles- so far have enjoyed driving the vehicle. Only issue thus far is the sulfer smell on hard acceleration. Have not taken to dealer as prior posts indicate they can't/don't do anything about it. Anyone else had this problem? The only other complaint is the suspension is a little mushy feeling on corners. Otherwise have been very pleased!...read morehide

- It's bigger than Lexus ES(roomier), better perfomance, more than 30mpg on highway! at lower price!
- none so far
I just love how it drives! Toyota is known to be very smooth feeling of driving but this car rocks! you'll experience how much room it has inside and check out the turning ratio! you'll be able to fit into every tight parking spots! It is very good on gas milage and check out the 280 horse power on 05 model!...read morehide

- Highway average 25.5 mpg. Very good pick-up; smooth and quiet ride.
- Small trunk. Had a 95 Olds regency. (got spoiled).
Overall, quite happy. The nav system takes a little bit of getting used too. It doesn;t always respond with the correct voice command.

- Great on fuel economy beats any car in this class. The Pickup is absolutely amazing.
- The back seats do not fold all the way down to expand the trunk.
I owned a camry before and I always questioned the existence of the avalons because they did not seem to be any better but with the current model I was absolutely blown away by the looks and the size of the car.
It is much bigger than a camry and is so much more roomier. Everyone absolutely loves the space in the back seat and the ability to recline.
The car handles very well on turns and I must say you do not feel the bumps on the road. Having a bad back I was pleasantly supprised for once they had put thought into the driver seat it comes equipped with an automatic lumbar support adjstment and has given me quite a relief while driving. The steering wheel also has a telescopic option so the steering wheel can be lowered or made to move towards or away from you.
All in all no need to by expensive Luxury cars it is all there in the avalon and more....read morehide

Just got back home from an extended 3400 mile road trip. I was blown away with the quiet comfort, fuel economy, power and performance. The new 3.5L/280 hp 24 valvle V-6 is a great improvement over my 2002 Model Avalon. The only complaint I would have at all was in the mountains of PA, the 5 speed transmission had a tendency on steep climbs to downshift more often than my 2002 Avalon did. However, it made up for that with an exceptional ride and several tanks of 30 mpg fuel milage. With some states in the New England area getting as much as $2.77 per gallon for gasoline, I was very pleased to get up to 400-440 miles between fill-ups.
The new model look is also very peasing to the eye-and the dual pipes are something I had wanted Toyota to add because all the competitors had added them last year or before.
Handled well in rainstorms as well as dry pavement and visibility at night seems better. We still had plenty of trunk space even packing for a two week trip and coolers. Interior lighting is also better than previous years of Toyotas I have owned.
I have also been partial to white paint on my vehicles, but, the new light green, Pine MIca caught my eye and I have been very pleased with this new color for me. This car turns heads and I am proud to have it in my garage!
